Anyone seen the new artwork for the new Maiden album? Looks pretty snazzy. Eddie doesn't look as much like Eddie, though.

Yeah, I don't think Derek Riggs has done any of the artwork since NPFD...

Hmmm... well, this artist seems to be the same as Brave New World.

I think Virtual XI, X-Factor and DoD all have the same artist.

Derek was the best though. If you walked into a record store, you could instantly pick out the Maiden albums.

I thought the DoD eddie was one of the worst (except for FOTD, that one was a travesty).

No kidding. It looks cool on my shirt, but the actual album cover looks completely amateurish. Like something a local band would release.

i dont mind the new cover it doesnt look much like a maiden cover more like death metal or something but still looks kinda cool

Derek did the sky for the BNW cover (the giant floating eddie head), but a different artist did the lower half. He also did the artwork for Real Live and Real Dead ones

You have to get Painkiller on there.

gur, you missed out hallowed, I would stick rime and maybe still life on there too
maybe rime in place of to tame a land as it has a sort of similar feel...
I would at least put it up to the similar track amount as edward the great which is supposed to do a similar thing
more prog-era maiden style stuff too

He's done them, except for Rime. He recorded them on his PC that doesn't have the internet though.

that's done (with the exception of Rime)... the only problem is getting them onto a computer with internet :upset: I should be picking up a memory stick sometime next week, which will solve the problem.

Awesome! Can't get any better than that; I hate taking important songs off because there isn't any room. :angry:

i wanted to put on Wasted Years, but not enough room, i had 3:20 left; then i realised, that purgatory was EXACTLY 3:20, so i threw it on there.

I don't like maiden very much, but the cause of this is mr dickinson.I like the songs right up to the point where he starts singing. Does their first vocalist sing in the same kinda way? otherwise? I'll check out their old stuff

Both Di'annio and baley have very different voices from bruce...

sings very different - his voice is far more "gruff" and punky, and hence gave Maiden a more rough and punky feel. Check out "Running Free", "Killers" and "Sanctuary".

I think both singers have their merits - Di'Anno wouldn't have fit the latter Maiden songs as well as Dicinson, and vice versa

I would, but he's heard most of the kinda standard songs - RTTH, NOTB, HBTN, FOTD, etc etc. Personally, I reckon that if I were to take out Can I Play With Madness? and The Wicker Man, and replaced them with POTO, it would be the perfect accompaniament to Edward The Great
