There's nothing wrong with it, but he doesn't really touch Mustaine.

Yeah, I don't consider Petrucci much of a rhythm player. Dave is one of the best there is as far as rhythm goes though.

Yeah, but I can see how the first few bands were actually influences on him, but to name the rival bands of Megadeth is kind of retarded.

It's probably just him going even further to let the world know he's a good guy now and doesn't hold any grudges.

That's lame. Especially since Megadeth was formed pretty much on the complete hatred of another band. Dave's lost his edge.

I saw a talk with Mustaine on YouTube, I believe, recently, where he was talking about rhythm guitarist who are better then him..

I'm not really sure, but I'd say he meant better rhythm guitar players.

In terms of skill and technique I think he's way better than both Malcolm and James. I don't get it.

He didn't actually say James, he just said "The guy from Metallica", although said "Malcolm Young from AC/DC"..

I must say Malcom Young is a very solid guitarist, but isn't anything spectacular, and James screws up live a lot.

My old guitar teacher says kirk was the sloppy one. I have never seen a Metallica concert in person, but from the live footage I have seen, James seems to do a good job.

Dave is 200X better than James though.

Yeh Kirk is pretty sloppy, that's why he uses the wah for almost every solo nowdays

Dave is better than James because Dave can play fast solos

And Dave's rhythm parts are harder than Hetifields

I feel Dave is totally individual in that he isn't a rhythm player, nor is he a lead player, he does both.
That's the main difference between Megadeth and Metallica's guitar sound(apart from the obvious quality gap), in that 'deth are much closer to say, Maiden and Priest than Metesticle are

I think Mustaine is much more a Rhythm player.

His solos are good, but he always chooses a more Lead oriented player to compliment him.
