AILD, August Burns Red, and Still Remains in concert. Next Friday. Greatest concert ever. BtBaM was supposed to be there instead of Still Remains, but I'm not complaining.
Yep I'm going to that show next saturday. ABR are absolutely incredible live. |

true dat, love the charisma of the singer |
Just a quick question...do you guys here at MX consider "metalcore" to be metal influenced-hardcore or hardcore influenced-metal? are they under the metal, or punk family tree?
metalcore is metal and hardcore :)
I need something new to listen to.
listen to some oldschool cave-in |
I don't know if I like metalcore Cave In or space rock Cave In more.
I like metalcore Cave In more because its still got the spacerock parts, and it's got the stuff that Between The Buried And Me tries to pull off.
whats the difference between them robots? ive never heard of those terms so i gotta ask
Space rock's like, ambient progressive rock with spacey sounds.
oic, and whats the other one, the cave in? (i think thats what you reffered to it as)
Cave-In is a band.
An awesome as hell band too.
Jupiter was their best album, although Until Your Heart Stops was pretty solid too.
I like Until Your Heart Stops the most.
ill havta check em out who do they sound like? (if anyone)
Cave In
They've generally been pretty unique, although their early metalcore stuff was the blueprint for most horrible metalcore coming out this decade.
It's really unfortunate too, because all of those bands credit Norma Jean and **** as their influence.
Well I mean Norma Jean did build on the sound at least. All these other bands don't even try to do anything different anymore.
hence why I generally don't like metalcore that much presently. |
Architects built on the sound a lot as well, KNUT's new stuff is great, The Dead Swans are baller... but I'll agree, modern metalcore mostly sucks.
Architects are cool, The Dead Swans are alright too. But yeah, gayness all around mostly.

Cave In bores me to death. Never got into them.

Their new album has such an ugly cover...
ill second that, its hideous
Best cover ever.
third that but if the music is good i won't mind so much(going in to the album without hearing anything so it's either going to be a waste of money or pretty awesome)
but in other newes did ED Gein really have to name one of their albums "It's a Shame a Family Can Be Torn Apart by Something as Simple as a Pack of Wild Dogs" also the tracklisting is "You Suck at Life, and I'm Not Talking About the Board Game" - 2:38 "The Marlboro Man is a Douche Bag" - 1:50 "A Way to Kill Old People" - 1:53 "Nice Shoes... Wanna ****?" - 2:37 "I Wish You the Best..." - 1:47 "...And by the Best I Mean the Worst" - 0:58 "Beating a Dead Horse" - 2:39 "What is This Monstrosity?" - 11:49 and of course their band name is named after a serial killer this band is just on drugs or something |
