I'm very glad I decided to come back.:)
So am I. I have another person to talk to. |
I know this back quite a few pages by now, but someone said mustaine was only in rehab twice.. Trust me its closer to the 15...
Watch behind the music, its basically all about the drugs |
Don't Megadeth have their "behind the music" out on video?

http://www.buymusicposters.com/music/asinsearch_B00005OVZZ/index.html it would seem so
Hey welcome to the Megadeth thread
thanks, i don't know why i've never posted in here before now though :-/ |
I listened to Peace Sells and Countdown To Extinction last night for the first time. I still haven't decided which I like best :\

Peace Sells gets my vote. "A merciless butcher who lives underground. I'm out to destroy, and I will cut you down" |

Same here, but I guess I like Peace Sells more, because it's thrash, and CTE is more just standard heavy metal. I like every song on both CD's.
"A merciless butcher who lives underground. I'm out to destroy, and I will cut you down"
It's a shame he won't play that song anymore. Just because he's born-again. :( Tom Araya is Catholic but he still sings some evil shit. |

LAME A M M A EMAL Yup, you guessed it. Lame^2 |
Theres a few others they won't play because of his born again thing, I can't remember 'em though.
I think another one he won't play is The Conjuring because it's about witch-craft. But oh well. Atleast Megadeth still plays other kick-ass songs like Peace Sells, Hangar 18, Holy Wars..etc. |
Theres a few others they won't play because of his born again thing, I can't remember 'em though.
It's only Good Mourning/Black Friday and The Conjuring. |
It's only Good Mourning/Black Friday and The Conjuring.
I was listening to the Conjuring earlier this day, it's not a great song, BF is great but i understand if he doesn't wnt to sing that. But GM, what's the evilness on that song? |

I love The Conjuring Good Mourning/Black Friday is one song... |
I love The Conjuring
Good Mourning/Black Friday is one song...
Well is a song, but GM is the name of the intro, on Megadeth.com the lyrics are divided in two parts. |

I love Symphony of Destruction from CtE(i think it's from there correct me if I'm wrong) First Megadeth song i ever heard. Then Hangar 18 then Rust in Peace and then from there i became a Dethnut.:chug: |
Well is a song, but GM is the name of the intro, on Megadeth.com the lyrics are divided in two parts.
Yeah, Good Mourning is the introduction to Black Friday, lyrically and musically. They go together. |
I don't now what's the big deal about beeing Christian and stop playingsome songs, he could easily change the lyrics or make it instrumental.
|
That would be crap. You don't mess with those thing.
I would rather not hear it, than hear it with different lyrics or intrumental. Black Friday would be boring as an intrumental anyway. |
I'm going to buy Megdeth's greatest hits album next week, but is it any good?
|
It's ok.
You should just buy Rust In Peace and/or Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?. |
hi im new here.megadeth is my second favorite band of them all.......... megadeth rocks!!!! :chug:
|

I don't really think him being Christian should stop him singing it. I mean, it's only words. Tom Araya's a catholic and he still sings about killing. |

welcome, very nice avatar:thumb: so is Dave really serious about this Christianity stuff? I thought it was just a phase or something |

I would like to see them played live, but in the end it is his choice. I think that even if he weren't christian, they still wouldn't be in the setlist (At least not on a regular basis anyway). |
welcome, very nice avatar:thumb:
welcome, very nice avatar:thumb:

I thought it was just a phase or something
 Nope, hes a full blown catholic now, so no more naughty lyrics if Mr. Mustaine wants to go to heaven. I don't really see the big deal though but it's his choice and they will still rock live. |
