i just figured my passive bass sounds crap through my amp because it is set up to compliment my active dean, if only i didnt have to change amp settings whenever i switch bass

Octaved bass.. Uhm let me think.. I THOUGHT that that was a bass with 8 strings. Only then like a 12 stringed guitar and then stringed like: EEAADDGG, so you have a low E and a high E etc.

fretting on the E will be tough

^^ At guitar.. most of the times you fret both the E's or both the A's. That way you get a rich sound. :)

Digitech BP80 gives a little bit of everything, not the great tones. So beware of that!
I think the behringer V-amp is even better, it is more clear for the stuff you want. The behringer is a giant maze with some nice effects in it for the moment. But after that it gets boring.. My dad has the guitar-version :smoke:

ok, im called Jack, i live in England (the south), i have a cort action bass (yeah it sucks) and my band plays, well its kinda hard to describe..funk metal would be the closest thing to it.
