MENTAL YO 02-08-2006 07:27 PM
Ok, time for me to weigh in with some older-dude, jaded advice in response to all this relationship talk.

I've been in involved with 4 of my friend's ex's, and none of the situations really worked out. The friends who found out were upset, and I've lost several friends because of these situations, no matter how "cool with it" my friends have said they were. It's never a good idea, be very wary.

Part II: "Friends with Benefits" schemes never work out. Someone always gets attached and it's a mess.

The end.
That is my main fear right there. I'm hoping I'll just become good friends with the girl and decide I'm better off as being only her friend. That would be nice.

My mom cut my beautiful hair today. It was upsetting even though it was only a little bit.

It's noticably shorter, though :(

DaveToopes 02-08-2006 08:01 PM

I imagine it's still pretty long though.

pixplzthx

The relationship situation in my band is getting ridiculous. The bass player cheats on his girlfriend with a girl that the lead singer had a one night stand with. Now they break up, and the lead guitarist fuc'ks the ex-girlfriend, then the lead singer fuc'ks her too. So she's slept with 75% of the band now (but she doesn't get a "Groupie" tee-shirt until she gets up to 80%. Things are getting very silly. I'm thinking of quiting and joing Kraftwerk, because they're robots, and wouldn't have this problem.

I picked a strange time to check in on this thread......guess I need to come around these parts more often.

DaveToopes 02-08-2006 09:07 PM

'Round these parts, we've seen much strangertimes.

#1! 02-08-2006 09:20 PM

Oh, I've no problem believing that. The only thing that I know of that is sort of related to this topic of strange relationships and people be passed around is the fact that a lot of people in my school have/had/are getting mono. It makes me afraid because almost the whole girls hockey team has it, and my super secret lover is on that team.

DaveToopes 02-08-2006 09:22 PM

DON'T KISS HER!

Mono sounds horrible, I hope I never get it or am around anyone that has it.

That was selfish of me.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 02-08-2006 09:23 PM

Guys, what is up?

RIP Ian Curtis 02-08-2006 09:24 PM

Not much man, everyone's talking about weird relationships. Scroll up a little and check out some stories.

DaveToopes 02-08-2006 09:25 PM

I finished my homework early tonight, so I'm gonna get some sleep soon!

We're talking about our various lady problems.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-08-2006 09:28 PM

Sounds exciting. I'm listening to Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers. And it's miday, so no sleep for a while

Although I have a girlfriend now, everyone should expect mild bitching from me in the future, I sense something wrong right now. I suppose only time will tell.

Yeah, my cousin almost died from it because his tonsils swelled up so much that he could barely breathe.

DaveToopes 02-08-2006 09:36 PM

Whoa. Yeah, mono's pretty scary stuff, not to mention the make up work for school you'd have to do!

guns_of_brixton 02-08-2006 09:37 PM

Kraftwerk is awesome.

Glitterati 02-08-2006 09:42 PM

I've heard Johnny Thunders did some good solo stuff. I haven't actually heard any of his solo stuff, but the New York Dolls are my favorite band of all time.
Kraftwerk is awesome.
They are.

Their music is like oonts oonts oonts.

Some might say they're the innovators of oonts oonts oonts.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-08-2006 09:42 PM

Kraftwerk is robot-gods amongst us mere robot-men.

Thunder's solo work isn't all that similar to the Dolls. It's alot tougher, kinda more rock & roll influenced rather than glam rock and Rolling Stones influenced like the dolls. Try "Born To Lose" (I got that tattoo), "You Can't Put You're Arms Around A Memory" and "Too Much Junkie Business". You might have heard the Ramones cover his "Chinese Rocks", that ain't all bad either.

Brain Toad 02-08-2006 09:50 PM

Devo > Kraftwerk

RIP Ian Curtis 02-08-2006 09:52 PM

Not sure if they're really comprable, but I would rather listen to Devo, true.

Brain Toad 02-08-2006 09:55 PM

Everything is comparable if I say so.

RIP Ian Curtis 02-08-2006 09:59 PM

Ah sorry, forgot the rules regarding "teh all p0wrf77 naz1 m0d"

Glitterati 02-08-2006 10:09 PM
Devo > Kraftwerk
Devo > just about everyone.

So uh I'm watching teh Grammys. I love Stevie Wonder.

Brain Toad 02-08-2006 10:13 PM
