They are OK but can't listen to them too often. Give Portrait and 1905 a listen if you haven't already.

check out Agna Moraine's Autobiography, Don Quichote & Three Letter Engagement. three '90s emo bands that play completely different styles of emo.

Seriously, I am so sick of this "screamo is dead" nonsense.

Well it technically is, screamo was more of a scene than a style of music. However, I realize that there are still screamo bands.

This nu wave of screamo is kinda crappy: touche armour, la dispute and PBT are kinda lame.

I'm still missing how TA is considered screamo. I can see the emo connection kinda, but they really just sound like a more emo-influenced American Nightmare. And those are other bands are dick sauce so I agree.

Idk man, I see them being talked about in here, checked them out awhile ago, came to the conclusion that I wouldn't waste my time listening to an inferior band. Same thing goes for LD and PBT: there is just much better bands out there in the genre.

Suis La Lune are amazing and I will fight anyone who disagrees.

Suis La Lune are good, I hate their members though, but they release good tunes.

I didn't mind that We Were Skeletons LP, it was sloppy and what not, but they use twiddly riffs and that makes me swoon.

just because CTTS got big after ATRU doesn't mean they are some in it for the money assholes or whatever you imply with them. my friends Derek and Zach have lived in Savannah (Derek almost played drums for them actually) and those guys/gal are involved very much in the punk scene and taking part in making DIY shit happen. don't knock them because people liked their record a lot.

also, they are screamo. look past ATRU and remember how good the EP and the split with pg. 99 were.

tours with Thursday and Portugal. The Man.
have ridiculous "band photos"
are on the cover of magazines
work with booking agencies
have tour managers
make pretty bad music
don't sound screamo (from what I remember)

as for looking past AtRU and remembering how good they used to be - I don't. which implies their stuff wasn't very memorable at all.

also Orinda hates them so I hate them. LOCAL FOR LIFE.
