C'mon, guys, I'm sat at the PC eating chocolate right now.

The Ashtray Girl 02-24-2005 09:32 AM

Ahaa... nice.

I was eating flapjacks a while ago... mmm, they were so good. May have to go and retrieve more.

Wanker 02-24-2005 09:32 AM

You must be having a ball, Iai.

Iai 02-24-2005 09:33 AM

Yeah. Just killing time waiting for work to start.

What should I listen to at work? Throw me some names.

theredwonder 02-24-2005 09:35 AM

*chomp*

British Sea Power

*chomp*

Wanker 02-24-2005 09:38 AM

Oasis?

They're good to listen to while working. Same thing with EitS.

Iai 02-24-2005 09:41 AM

I'm gonna be listening to my mp3 player.

I have no BSP or Oasis.

EiTS, I have one album (Earth is Not.....). I don't think I've listened to the whole thing at work. I always either get halfway through and give up, or just start at Your Hand In Mine.

theredwonder 02-24-2005 09:43 AM
I have no BSP or Oasis.
Your cool meter just dropped below zero.

Whoop! Last lecture until March 6th in 15 minutes.

Iai 02-24-2005 09:50 AM

I have some of their stuff, just not on my mp3 player.

Hmm.

I think I'll start with Mansun and see where I end up.

theredwonder 02-24-2005 09:52 AM

Re-upload your avatar already d00d

The NPC 02-24-2005 10:40 AM

Nah, the f-ed up avatars are great.

pinkyeti 02-24-2005 10:54 AM

I thought so for a while, but I've changed my mind. They suck after some time.

death to everyone
is gonna come
and it makes hosing
much more fun

every terrible thing
is a relief
even months on end
buried in grief
are easy, light times
which have to end
with the coming
of your death friend

death to everyone
is gonna come
and it makes hosing
much more fun
Pix/additional information plz?
Well there aren't any pics because the people at the club we were at didn't allow them. But anyway, they're a totally different experience live--it blew my mind. I love their music more now after watching them live, they're much more powerful live and it makes their albums sound even more amazing. It was great, well the opening act,400 Blows, kind of sucked after 3 songs because they all sounded the same. But I thought it was cool that good ol' MoB gave them a 10 song act.

Anyway, they played two sets and came back for a three song encore. Heh, all I can say is that it was awesome. After the show I spoke to Clint (bassist) and had a beer with Roger (guitarist) which was pretty cool.

theredwonder 02-24-2005 02:18 PM

It's always nice to have a beer with the band. I had a beer and a smoke with TCTC after their gig here.

Iai 02-24-2005 02:18 PM

Sweet.

I don't have my avatar on my PC. I'll upload a new one when I think of a decent one.

Probably ladie's favourite General Lee.

Yeah, it was cool to meet and talk to my 'heros'. The best thing was, they didn't talk to me or anyone for that matter like we were lower than them or anything. They didn't have a 'rock star' attitude, they were just guys that played in a band. Clint even asked if they sounded 'okay' and if I enjoyed the show. They really love their fans and they're really cool guys. I wanted to meet Peter Prescott (drummer) but he had to take a crap.

theredwonder 02-24-2005 02:42 PM

It's always nice to be treated as an equal by your Gods. I've heard simliar things about the Ordinary Boys.

Yeah, poor Pete. He's a trooper though.

Luxor 02-24-2005 02:45 PM

I still haven't got anything by MOB. What album should I start with?

AK47 02-24-2005 02:50 PM

The album Vs. has gotta be the best MOB album.

Luxor 02-24-2005 02:53 PM

Ai ai captain.

What ever you can get your hands on.

Though 'That's when I reach for my revolver' will serve well as an earcatcher. Mind you the song is very atypical for their music, but still great. Also their only proper hit I believe.
