I prefer That Within Blood Ill Tempered or whatever it's called.
I seem to like what I've heard from this album better. Actually come to think of it, I've downloaded most of it. |
I think Geert van der Velde did vocals on their releases and Chad was never recorded just because he wasn't in the band anytime they recorded. I don't know though.
I have their 2 full lengths. live set from Hellfest, Split 7" and a Bad brains cover on my pc if anyone is interested. |
I think all the Shai Hulud stuff I have I downloaded from you anyway. I think I'll get the rest of That Within Blood Ill-Tempered from you now.
I have a video from Hellfest (I think 2002) of them doing Set Your Body Ablaze. It's fucking awesome, a great live performance, and even the sound on the recording sounds great. |
Haha ok. I'm looking for the new CD right now. I found it but I'm like 100 inline. So i'm just going to leave my PC on.
|
I remember someone posted a Shai Hulud Band Profile in here. Who was it? I want to read it.
|
Found it, haha isn't this Gotkookie's account when him and Shane decided to get banned? I haven't seen him around in awhile. I may just have to steal his profile.
Review my band profile Im gonna put up when this account can make a new thread...

That is a horrible biography.
|
So Geert Van der Velde was on all of the recordings, Damien Moyal only did a demo with them, and Chad Gilbert only played shows with them.
|
I guess so. If I take this profile I need to fix it up.
|
No-- Chad did vocals for the first full length-- Hearts Once Nourished and Filled With Compassion.
|
That Within Blood - Ill Tempered Is my favorite cd of theirs.
|
I just realized I never heard their other split 7". Need to find that now.
I don't think they have/had any original members left in the band. |

I think Matt Fox was always in the band... correct me if I'm wrong though.
|
Would have been Geert van der Velde since Chad was NFG at the time. Unless, he played in both at 1 time.
I think Matt Fox was always in the band... correct me if I'm wrong though.
Maybe, all I know is they've had a million lineup changes. |
Who knows? I remember the booklet saying Chad was doing vocals though.
|
I need a Shai Hulud album. What's their best?
Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion. The Another Victim split is awesome too, but they've never done anything bad. Also: - Morning Again guy whose name I forget sang on some of the demos which are on the retrospective - Chad sang on Hearts Once Nourished... - Geert sang on That Within Blood Ill Tempered and the AV split. Everything else they put out I don't know. - I'm pretty sure Matt Fox is the only original member. |
 I know those guys! Like, I've met them when I went to Milwauke with my father! I hadn't even heard their stuff but they said they were in a band called Since By Man and said I should come to a show, but I couldn't because we were leaving that night. Unless theres another band called that in Millwauke then it's a small world.
That's awesome! Shai Hulud's CD titles are ****ing cliché. |
Do you always complain?
|
Do you always complain?
Yes, he does. But you'll get used to it. I think Torn's a pretty cool guy. And he's right about Shai Hulud's album titles. I think they are veeery cheesey. |
Their new band name is lame, they should have used what the Shai Hulud turns into in the book.
|
The name is from "Scornful Of The Motives And Virtues Of Others"
"How I miss the warmth of red blood... The color of pitch is cold and hard, And its merciless to the tenderhearted." You probably already know that though...I was just reading the lyrics and saw that. |
You want cheese with that?

Whoa sweet I didn't know we had that.
|
As far as names go, Warmth Of Red Blood > Zombie Apocalypse.
|
Musically Warmth of Red Blood > ZA and I haven't even heard WoRB yet.
|
Zombie Apocalypse are pretty good musically. Some times they don't sound very good, but they have some cool parts, when they aren't playing a mile a minute. I don't like the vocalist much though.
|
Buddy, have you heard the new Open Hand song, "Tough Guy?"
