went on the review site felt completely alien to me
i think the biggest problem with the reviews there is that everything is community influenced and that usually influences or dilutes opinions
either people sort of tow the line or they like to rock between extremes like really hating something or developing a sort of niche taste so that you can separate yourself from the others and establish some really crappy disingenuous identity

review site has always sucked back to the review site non elite

the review site was awful then too i dont like the really boring sentimentality about it even though i sometimes get like that all of the reviewers were shit but i think it had more color i guess and wasnt as hivemindy and 4chan influenced

the reviews now are just as bad but in a completely different way

the reviews were shitty but I were people actually expressing how they felt about the music

I think music reviews in general are stupid
unless you're critiquing the technical skill of the artist there isn't much that you can be objective about

and most reviewers want to be 100% objective and are afraid to be subjective at all

objectivity is stupid. anyone that tries to be objective in a music review should kill themselves just give your opinions faggot you aren't some scholar with an argyle sweater and a patchy grey beard nobody cares that you can describe an opeth song for a whole shitty paragraph
