Hey All

fatbandit 05-08-2005 08:18 AM

All of the above.

What makes my idiocy worse, is that I decided to take Business for A Level next year...

And Faith No More are godly. All of you should listen to them. Now.

Left Shoe 05-08-2005 08:18 AM

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:21 AM

Radiohead > Emo :)

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:22 AM

Hey Rollo

i've been spouting about the brilliance of FNM for ever, noone else seems to like them though

Rollo47 05-08-2005 08:22 AM

FNM?

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:23 AM
Radiohead > Emo :)
Radiohead> indie/emo/alt rock

they transcend genre, they kick az

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:25 AM
FNM?

faith no more

Left Shoe 05-08-2005 08:25 AM

radio head .....is ok......but to say its better than emo is going a bit too far

Rollo47 05-08-2005 08:25 AM
faith no more
I see. I haven't heard enough to have a real opinion.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:26 AM

^^ I just meant that Radiohead is better then any emo :p.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:28 AM
radio head .....is ok......but to say its better than emo is going a bit too far
I don't like emo at all, which explains my opinion :p.

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:29 AM
radio head .....is ok......but to say its better than emo is going a bit too far
i merely meant that they transcend any genre people try to lump them in

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:33 AM

I personally like their current sound.

Dieforitall89 05-08-2005 08:34 AM

Hey guys.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:36 AM

Hey man. How's life treating you?

Dieforitall89 05-08-2005 08:39 AM

Decent, im a bit down today though, yourself?

Gackt 05-08-2005 08:41 AM

hello bassists :)

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:42 AM

Good good. I probably won't be on today, as I'm going to visit my grandparents.

Darn, just when the Gear review thread was made :(. I've only made two reviews as yet...

Coming up:

ESP LTD C-10
Fender Sting Precision
Fender Aerodyne Jazz

fatbandit 05-08-2005 08:43 AM

I need more FNM. Album suggestions? I have The Real Thing.

And Radiohead are overrated. They make very good paranoid/background music, but do nothing to get me involved. Though Creep (which is untypical of their work as a whole) is full of emotion, and a very heartfelt heartbreak song.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:46 AM

^^ You should hear their new stuff (Hail to the thief). Really, it's very good and nothing like they have doen before.

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:47 AM

Angel Dust
Introduce yourself

in THAT order!

fatbandit 05-08-2005 08:48 AM

I've heard Hail to the Thief. I've heard almost all of their stuff (bar Kid A, which is from what I can tell, not terribly good). I'm just not keen on Radiohead. Like I said when I was talking to Mox before, I like music which gets me involved. That's something Radiohead don't manage.

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:50 AM

Kid A is brilliant!!! 'How TO Disappear Completely' is so hauntingly beautiful

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:50 AM

Ah, ok then.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 08:52 AM
Kid A is brilliant!!! 'How TO Disappear Completely' is so hauntingly beautiful
What I don't like about Kid A is that it was produced to much, which is why I prefer "I might be wrong".

fatbandit 05-08-2005 08:53 AM

Only 4000 more posts to go...

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:56 AM

it was rather over produced, but i think thats just another way in which they moved forward and revolutionised their sound. i mean 'Idioteque' is so far removed from anything else yet its still brilliant IMO

PaulSimonon 05-08-2005 08:56 AM

Salve socii!

PaulSimonon 05-08-2005 08:56 AM

Estne vitam bonam?

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 08:57 AM

what does that mean?

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 09:05 AM
it was rather over produced, but i think thats just another way in which they moved forward and revolutionised their sound. i mean 'Idioteque' is so far removed from anything else yet its still brilliant IMO
I love Idioteque, but I must say that (IMO) the live versions are better.

Another thing that bothers me is Kid A; they COMPLETELY CHANGED the vocals in the Kid A cd. Amazing song live, tho.

By the way,John Mayer covered Kid A, and did an amazing jo'b.

Radiobass81 05-08-2005 09:10 AM

Meh, three reviews, and not a single reply for any of them :upset:.

fatbandit 05-08-2005 09:10 AM

Zombie Eaters rocks my socks.

Anyway, isn't there a secret leaflet thing in Kid A?

PaulSimonon 05-08-2005 09:12 AM

Yes, but I'm currently keistering all of them so the gaurds don't see them.

ElKapitan 05-08-2005 09:14 AM

thats one of my favourite tracks

yeah, i think there's one behind the CD holding thingy (oh shut up!). its not really 'secret' as such, just a little bit hidden :thumb: :p :thumb:

I am a revenant 05-08-2005 09:16 AM

I'm alright, waiting for replies in the audio arena right now.
EDIT: I was reading a few pages back, oops.

fatbandit 05-08-2005 09:17 AM

How many people take their CD cases apart though?
