They were both on Later.. last night. I can't remember how much I liked them though, as the whole show seemed a bit lacking in lustre all round.
I liked the songs they both did, although the Mattafix song I downloaded didn't have the steel drum solo at the end of it like in Later...which sucks because it was awesome.

Bartender 11-05-2005 05:34 PM

I've actually had a song that was one last week's show playing in the background for most of the day. One of the ones Mylo did.

6Stringer 11-05-2005 06:12 PM

Today I've listened to Cap'n Jazz, almost all day.

I've been on a Beatles binge for about a week now. I watched "A Hard Days Night" and "Yellow Submarine" today. They're fun.

Also been listening to some Sam Cooke, and a selection of 80s pop. Oh and a lot of Kate Bush, followed by a bit of Tori Amos.

lilsolsman 11-06-2005 10:04 AM

I've been listening to Eels a lot lately. Their Electro-Shock Blues album is really really good stuff.

I only have We Became Snakes but I like it a lot. How do the rest of their albums compare?

We Became Snakes is their best for sure, but Past Lives and Worldbroken are really good also. Joe Baiza is an awesome guitarist.

They use http://www.last.fm/index.php. I'm not sure how they can stand it, it's such a horribly slow website. It kills me.

That man is just an unbelievable composer. "Last Song" might possibly be the best musical composition that has ever gazed my ears. That song is so beautiful...yet so minimalistic. The melodies almost sound unfinished, which makes them perfect in an ugly sort of fashion.

If i had to choose a last song to hear it would be the "Last Song"...it's just mind boggling to think that someone could compose music like this. It never fails to blow me away.

Because of this I had to go listen to this song again.

This is one of my favorite songs on the album, if not my most favorite.

OrbDragon 11-06-2005 06:01 PM

I'm listening to it right now too...never get sick of it. It's almost as if every time I hear it, it's for the first time. Scary.
