Yeah, I don't know of anything free and good past Open-Office either. :upset:
I am fine, in a non-fine but partially-hopeful way. Can you believe that a university let me in to study? Crazy, I know.

'sup your fine-self Paul?
Congrats! I kind of miss school... yet it is the social-part, not the actual learning part.

I'm just sitting at work... seeing my job has waves right now we are basically twiddling our thumbs. We'll get busy again in a couple of weeks and then it'll be suicidal for a month or month and a half.

Only if you say you love me :o

Sup my Scottish brotheren?

AG 09-09-2010 02:43 PM

I want to be able to input the different menu items this new job sells each day, and then see how many of each item are sold on a monthly basis.

Do I need a database or a spreadsheet?

Not much. Turns out being a Music graduate doesn't lend itself to immediate employment. Who'd have thought? As such I am looking for a job. Yourself?

EmbraceRandom 09-09-2010 03:07 PM

lod: sup.

AG, a spreadsheet would do that.

Well, after even the ruddy armed forces wouldn't take me I decided that my only option was to get an education, so now I'm just about to go into the second year of my chemistry degree. How's London been treating you?

I don't gasp for air right now either, for the past three months I have been gasping for pussy. Good god I hope freshers brings me the good hole, this place has been barren.

Squirrel 09-09-2010 03:30 PM

What's wrong with the "whole" of openOffice? it's like 300 meg isnt it.

AG 09-09-2010 03:31 PM

The installer is 154.

Atm I'm on a wirless dongle that costs £15 for 3gb of usage. I don't wanna dl all that if I don't need too.

Squirrel 09-09-2010 03:33 PM

Why don't you just use a calculator.

I work for a software company in a position called "XBRL Technician". They make a program which helps companies make XBRL documents of their 10K/Q (USA) or 8K/6K (think that is Europe) documents etc. etc. for submitting to the SEC [part of the U.S. Government].

The position is 90% building the documents for companies and 10% tech support for the really hard questions when companies choose to use my companies' software to do it themselves.

Companies have 30 business days to file after their quarter ends (usually March 31st, June 30, etc. etc.) so late July/August was just fun. Where I've done maybe 2 hours of actual work in the last three days, I put in 289 hours in August. This is supposed to be a 40 hour a week job. Though I didn't even get a weekend for 5 weeks. Can't say the checks didn't look pretty though.

JoshIsNumber3 09-09-2010 07:14 PM

yeah your job must be a real ball buster with as much as you post here

purple_hazer 09-09-2010 11:22 PM

lel, josh posts his obligatory post after LFD even when LFD himself calls it out

i just dont know how to take that

AG 09-10-2010 01:37 AM

LFD, your work schedule sounds alot like my wifes.

Businesses wait untill the last 2 days of a batch window/deadline, then she's completely inundated for a week, then it goes dead again.

Spaceman Spiff 09-10-2010 09:15 AM

Can anyone tell me how much a guitar is worth?

I don't know much about acoustics, but I really want one that plays well and sounds nice. I'm being offered a Celebrity by Ovation model CC57. I think dude might be trying to rip me off, though. Can anyone give me some information about it and its worth?

Geez I only asked a question

Only playin', I just spent the last half hour re-reading your little forum you did a while back. Damn those were simpler times.

Damn, chemistry. Not a big fan. Physics was my bag. You seriously tried for the Army (Navy/RAF)? You realise there's a war on, right?
How's London been treating you?
Nice enough place. Bit like anywhere really - most people don't live in the city as such. It's almost as much an occasion for me to get into the centre as it is for visiting tourists. Made some good friends and all that jazz, had a great time for the most part.

Haha, I was banking on there being a war, basically I wasn't getting anywhere in terms of apprenticeships et cetera and so when the Para's didn't turn out the way I wanted my only choice was to get an education like the rest of the kids.

Bad times indeed, I'm studying half chemistry and half philosophy but my degree is chemisty. It's funky.

Does installing iOS 4 on iPhone/iPod delete or reset anything?

Left Face Down 09-11-2010 04:16 PM

No, just back up your phone (through iTunes) pending something goes wrong. Then let just let iTunes install it over the old one. You'll have all your stuff still. If something goes wrong, reset everything using the backup you made before installing and try again.
