Awesome melodic hardcore. You guys are cooler than most of the guys in HC/E, so I'm posting it here instead of there.
Old news, dude.

Good, but old news :p

Wow my Gerpok hasn't updated in months. I really should download the plugin for it again.

Got CD rip of Taking Back Sunday and Be Your Own PET's album, and right now I'm downloading Stressed Eric seasons 1 and 2.

Oh snap, they're great. Sounds alot like Strike Anywhere. If you know anymore bands like this, definitely let me know. Any melodic hardcore or pop-punk hardcore.

My spring break sucked. I spent the whole week creating a stupid web site for this old man. He wanted a site so people could ask him questions about the bible and he would respond back. It was kinda pointless cause he didn't know much about the bible. I ripped him so hard. I spent a total of three days on it and charged him like 350 for it. I felt kinda bad, until I put new tires on the Jeep. Then I felt good.
Wow my Gerpok hasn't updated in months. I really should download the plugin for it again.
Sounds like a good idea.

Kif 04-19-2006 09:07 AM

God damn I love "Spin"

I'm uploading something for Vince for the newsletter :D

Oh I need some new music to listen to. I'm not bothered whether it's hardcore, punk, hip-hop or even electronica or whatever. As long as they have an album, I'll find it if it's good.

Spence sent me one of their albums ages ago, they are a pretty good band.

Kif 04-19-2006 09:52 AM

Forums are open again I see

chumpradio 04-19-2006 09:55 AM

I was so bored while they were closed.
I'd already read all of AP's news and stuff, so I ended up looking at the GameFAQs boards.

Listening to Louder Now again. Spin is such a good song.
At first I was disappointed with some of the songs, but now I love this album. Definately an improvement on Where You Want To Be in my opinion, and this coming from someone who really likes WYWTB.

Dead Star 04-19-2006 10:00 AM

I bought Kerrang today.

Only for the large Green Day and Muse posters though.

Kif 04-19-2006 10:04 AM

Louder Now sort of disappointed me. I had heard 5 songs from it already, all of which I loved. But just like WYWTB, it loses momentum near the end. What were they thinking when they wrote "Divine Intervention"? And they killed "Error Operator" for me too. I loved the bridge of the original, but the re-recording feels wrong to me.

I gotta say I love "Miami" and "I'll Let You Live" though, such cool songs. MIAMI, MIAMI, MIAMI!

Kif's rating: B-

chumpradio 04-19-2006 10:06 AM

Yeah, I thought it got worse towards the end, but that was just because I had already heard and loved the first half pretty much. Then I gave it more of a listen, and I love it all.
Miami is so bitchin'.

I'd probably give it a B, maybe even a B+. It's all comparitive though, and I can name many better cds.

Kif 04-19-2006 10:12 AM

I'd definately say it's Taking Back Sunday's second best album. Might have a listen of their back catalogue later on.

chumpradio 04-19-2006 12:15 PM

I just ordered a new guitar. Epiphone G400. A lot better than what I use at the moment, a guitar made by Marshall. I mean, since when do Marshall make actual guitars?
I can't wait until it arrives, I love SG's.

And I'm off to a party in about 15 minutes.

This past week has been pretty good for me with new leaks, seeing as I got AVA, NOFX and TBS, which I'd been looking forward to for ages.

This thread's been pretty dead recently though. :(

Kif 04-19-2006 12:25 PM

I used to want an Epiphone SG. I think they are one of the nicest looking guitars in the world. But I got a Telecaster in the end since it was cheaper and I love them more.

Today I got Kerrang! Presents 'Remastered' (Metallica's Master Of Puppets Revisited), then I realized I hadn't actually heard the original. My hate for this band has lowered a lot more lately, and I found a torrent of their discography, so I'm considering getting it. It is 6.19GB though, and I only have 20GB left.

Dead Star 04-19-2006 12:27 PM

I have that CD Kif, haven't actually listened to it though.

Bad Blood 04-19-2006 12:32 PM

nm Ben, looking for something to play on my bass.

Kif 04-19-2006 12:38 PM

I haven't learnt much on guitar recently. I've been practising "Ghostship Part IV" and "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X." by The Fall Of Troy a lot.

I want to learn some new songs, but I have no idea what to play heh

Angry Balled Fists! 04-19-2006 01:49 PM

I got The Difference Between a few weeks ago and it's quality, at first soudns really generic, but there's something different and influential about them to me.
