I reviewed it.

BludgeonySteve 09-19-2004 09:12 PM

awesome. I'll comment, maybe, possibly, if I have the time.

RockAndRoll 09-19-2004 09:17 PM
Its because AC/DC is below average!

*waits for flame.
I don't think any of the regulars are huge AC/DC fans.

BludgeonySteve 09-19-2004 09:19 PM

I'm not a huge fan anymore. I used to be. Now i'm a casual fan.

jpj 09-19-2004 09:19 PM

I've always kind of thought all their songs sound the same. They put on one of the best shows out there though.

They're all the same kind of hard rock sound, at least after the early Bob Scott days. But the songs sound fairly different.

In some ways they sound failry different but I think too many ways they sound too similar.

Hehe, opposite ends of the Rock spectrum.

StreetlightRock 09-19-2004 10:28 PM

Heh, how many others on this thread can listen to Death Metal as well as the Beatles?

jpj 09-19-2004 10:29 PM

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-19-2004 10:30 PM

I can listen to and enjoy In Flames and Pantera, and obviously I love the Beatles. Thats about as heavy as I get.
i cant stand that guys voice. and i dont think they fall under death metal
How the **** can you hate his voice? He is the Frank Sinatra of metal. (The only one that actually sings)

clown_phobia 09-20-2004 02:02 AM

Now listening to: Led Zeppelin: Babe I'm gonna leave you

StreetlightRock 09-20-2004 08:38 AM

So, what do you guys think of Gary Moore's Solo works? F'ucking ace IMO, v. underated guitarist.

DVG.

i just dont like it. like some people prefer daltrey's voice over plant's or vice versa, it's just a matter of opinion. i saw the dirty black summer video and when he did that grunt thing and pounded his chest it just annoyed me

magicbus 09-20-2004 11:05 AM
bus, that rusted root album with the sample song that moon gave us is "When I Woke". I think...
Thanks man. I'll see if my dad has that one.

E-dit: I like Dillinger Escape Plan, because those guys are freakin sweet ass at guitar. They've gone through like 4 singers though, so on the cds with screaming guys, I just don't pay attention. There's a few others I like too.

magicbus 09-20-2004 11:20 AM
It's a very good album, I agree. Although I'd probably put it 4th in the list of Pink Floyd albums I own (Meddle should be arriving within the next few days). I was absolutely blown away by it when I first bought it, since it was the first Floyd album I'd bought, and I'd never actually heard anything by them before.

Songs for the Deaf. Rated R is pretty good, but I really like Songs for the Deaf.

You can count me out there. :p
Meddle is really good. Its the only one I have on vinyl. Someone's on here too?

Paranoidd 09-20-2004 11:32 AM

I have Meddle on vinyl too :)

the mighty zep 09-20-2004 01:26 PM

Ive been looking for Animals everywere and couldnt find it...escpecially all them big named superstores (walmart, kmart,...and may i add target has the worst selections of CDs EVER). Fye, sam goody...no where to be found. Until i find the album, ive been looking for Meddle. I heard Echoes was the best song alot of people ever heard.

A few days ago, i was at some walmart 100 miles away from home and seen Division bell for under 10 bucks...a steal for a Floyd album. I figure id buy it evetually anyway so got it then, and was blown away. But not was it just good, i couldnt believe how great it was since Floyd made it in 94. I thought The Final Cut was the end for them and the rest were ****...but i was really impressed. I did a review in the CD review forums...it was impressive though.

If anyone knows any frikkin stores that sell animals, Id really like to know. Havent even seen the cover of it for well over a half a year

RockAndRoll 09-20-2004 02:20 PM

don't they sell it at hmv and music world?

RockAndRoll 09-20-2004 02:27 PM

ya my friend got a bunch of floyd shirts off Amazon.

-Listy- 09-20-2004 02:55 PM
