maby hes drunk :p
I think he's gone beyond that- if you know what I mean.

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 09:45 AM

Yeah... can we just mass delete everything that Soggy Trolly has posted?

And I'm not drunk. I just got off work, and I've only had time for one gin and tonic. One more then it's bed time. ;)

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 09:46 AM

Lucky you. I'm AT work and will be until 3pm. Wish I was drunk...

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 09:49 AM

FIrst of all... I'm not drunk....

Second of all, I am not the lucky one, because I am in California, which means that it is nearly 9am. I got off work at 7am. Once again... not lucky.

Thunder Fingers 07-18-2004 09:50 AM

ShelBel 07-18-2004 09:52 AM

Cry me a river. ;) I've worked overnights too, you know. And I didn't say you were drunk, only that I wished *I* was. ;)

I use that darn winkie smilie too stinkin' much... Just wanted to make sure you knew I was not serious. Kewlies? :D

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 09:53 AM

Oooh! For some reason Motorhead reminded me of the Violent Femmes (don't ask me why) which are going to be in town here in a couple of months, and I am going to see them. Last time I saw them I was 16 (I'm 22 now) and I got kicked out because it was being held at an Indian casino, and I wasn't of legal age to be there, and we snuck in. So we ran away, but they caught us, and kicked us out. I only got to hear like 2 songs, which was super lame.

Well I was hoping that you were hitting on me... but I guess not... is it because I'm ugly?!?! Is that it?!?! Is it because you think my butt is fat!?!?! Tell me!! I'll do anything you waaaaaaant!

Yeah.. that was uncalled for. The gin is kicking in. Just finished # 2, and most of #3

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 09:58 AM

LOL!

@ Eddie: I'm new- both at the forum and to bass in general. Thanks for the compliment.

@Joe: 'Sokay. You seemed the kind of guy one could josh with a bit. I probably would hit on you but *points at ring finger on left hand* Twelve years in August. :) I *am* a shameless flirt, however, as you have probably noticed.

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 10:03 AM

Well, I've already broken up an engagement, but I would feel just terrible if I were to break up a marriage. And 12 years? COngrats.... I guess.... ( ;) )

And I thought you were older since it seemed like you knew what I was talking about when I mentioned Blair Underwood.

joe
How much older is "older"? Older than WHAT????

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 10:12 AM

hehe... well I know, and I'm 22. But the only reason that I know that is because I work graveyard, and LA Law comes on at 4 AM. Followed by McGyver at 5 ;)

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 10:16 AM

Ooo, MacGyver! Richard Dean Anderson is HOT. And he's from Minnesota, too (BONUS!)

Well, just for the record, I'm 10 years older than you. But I never watched LA Law.

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 10:21 AM

Haha. I always forget the A in MacGyver. And every time I spell it McGyver I look at it and say to myself "That just doesn't look right."

And, for the record, I don't see how hailing from the great state of Minnesota would ever be considered a bonus. Well... okay... now that I think about it, I do like the fact that Mac is a hockey fan. ALright... that's one bonus. But that's all I'm allotting him.

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 10:22 AM

GO MINNESOTA WILD!!!!!

Besides, I'm from Minnesota. ;)

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 10:24 AM
GO MINNESOTA WILD!!!!!

Alright... that's 2 demerits for Minnesota. ;) You've officially brought the count down to -1. I hope you're happy :p

*slinks away muttering something under her breath about the next season* ;)

BTW, the "X" (aka the Xcel Energy Center) in St. Paul has AMAZING acoustics. Saw Prince there last month and it was crystal. Not like the Target Center, which is like trying to listen through mud.

As for finding someone to pineapple... the spammer we just had would be a PERFECT subject.

I work at the Arrowhead Pond (I swear I'm not proud of it!) and Prince came through not too long ago. Luckilly I usually get to catch the last hour or so of the shows there. I think so far my favorite would have to be David Bowie singing I'm Affraid of Americans and Suffragette City. But Little Red Corvette is always going to be a classic to me. (I'm a closet Prince fan)

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 10:45 AM

Oh man... 18,000 people singing along to Little Red Corvette gave me shivers.

*hopes she doesn't get pineappled for her next statement*

I saw Duran Duran at the Orange County Fair last year (Costa Mesa, CA) and it was AWESOME. The ampitheater was outdoors, it was a PERFECT summer day, their first US performance in 15 yrs (if you don't count the impromptu performance at the Roxy the night prior) with the original lineup... I get all fan-girly about it! LOL!

JoeDaddio 07-18-2004 10:50 AM

Haha... Duran Duran... And I thought I was the only one still. Amazing bassist, and good stuff all around. I'v had Rio stuck in my head for over a week now. lol. And I saw Styx at the OC Fair a few years ago. And when I was a FFA nerd I used to sell my sheep there. You live in OC?

joe

ShelBel 07-18-2004 11:01 AM

OC? Ha! I wish... sorta... in that "man wouldn't it be nice but I know I could never make a living there" kind of way. Nah, I'm in Minnesota. Born, bred, and raised (with a smallish detour into Ohio and Michigan along the way). Northern Minnesota, even; did the Twin Cities thing during High School and tried to go back a couple of years ago, but just couldn't handle the traffic/general insanity. Besides; my folks live on a lake, we see bald eagles and deer and turtles and frogs and feed the fish from the dock and have HUGE bonfires... what's not to like? The internet provideth all. :D

Getting to see JT play live again... ****, getting to see Andy Taylor RIP IT UP was worth the trek out. When they tour again late this year/next year I am *SO* ponying up for VIP/travel package. Good thing my hubby is a DD nut too!
OMG, I wish they'd delete those posts. How moronic. People just need to find something better to do. *sigh*
uh can i ask what that was about.?

ShelBel 07-18-2004 11:19 AM

Spammer was posting nekkid male porn with the obligatory "u r gay" diatribe. 'Twas loverly.

UncleJam 07-18-2004 11:19 AM

^ I think it was about the pictures some person has been posting up. There's another thread I saw that had a plethora of homosexual pictures in it, I didn't even bother posting (not even a pineapple). I don't see why someone would hate the Bass forum so much, though. :(

Chaos 07-18-2004 11:22 AM

ShelBel 07-18-2004 11:24 AM

@ pixiesfanyo: The first couple of times I listened to it it didn't do much for me. Perhaps I should give it another go.

Radiobass81 07-18-2004 11:35 AM

Meh, another dissapointing album is the new Cure album...

pixiesfanyo 07-18-2004 11:37 AM

The Cure has had dissapointing albums since the 80s :)

ShelBel 07-18-2004 11:37 AM

Haven't heard it yet. I do like the cover of "Love Song" that 311 did, though.... :)

bassrocker531 07-18-2004 11:44 AM

i want a pinapple so i can be cool

ShelBel 07-18-2004 11:47 AM

Chaos 07-18-2004 12:37 PM

It wasn't just a bass forum attack.. all over the boards... I was unfortunate enough to be the only super on at the time... so it took me an hour to delete over 100 of those posts...

guess who isn't a happy camper?
