Not in awhile I haven't, though we were scheduling a show there with Plead the Fifth, then a later one with BORN/DEAD. I dunno what's goin' on with those, though, 'cuz I don't do the booking. Have you heard of the new venue opening up downtown called Junta? The booker of the Capital Garage quit when they went 21+ and made this new venue. We're playing the second show there, ever. Check it out:

Those are some cool guys in Plead the Fifth, link your myspace (if you have one) I might know you or seen you before.

SactoUnited 10-18-2005 10:11 PM

Nah I haven't seen you. Haha, just realized you were in the Subvert Citizens. Good band. You going to Pressure Point on Friday?

Subvert_bassist 10-18-2005 10:43 PM

Dude, I wanna, but no money. Pressure Point, Hanover Saints, Killing the Dream, and Allegiance is an awesome bill, but I've seen and played with all of them multiple times. Maybe I'll call up Brian Hanover and see if he'll let me in free.

Did you go to Death or Glory Fest this summer? We held it in Woodland. It had hella bands, including all the bands playing Friday, SVC, even the Havoc (shittiest band ever now) and Resilience. 26 bands played, if I remember right. It's gonna be annual now, check it:

SactoUnited 10-19-2005 01:04 AM

Yeah I almost went to that, unfortunately I couldn't get a ride there so I saw the Hoods and Sinking Ships those 2 days instead.

Subvert_bassist 10-19-2005 08:53 AM

Yeah dude, go next year, that shit was sick.

RetiredAt21 10-19-2005 11:20 AM

Indeed, band rules. It's awesome how they had their whole full-length up for download. Band's like that rule. :thumb:

Subvert_bassist 10-19-2005 06:03 PM

Yeah, I love that. Iskra had their LP and both EP's up for download ar their site, http://www.iskra.ws. Now that is sick.

Aw ***** their site is down. But when it's up, the music is there.

RetiredAt21 10-19-2005 11:18 PM

I'm gonna check out Iskra as soon as my computer stops being gay.

RetiredAt21 10-21-2005 04:27 PM

Checked out Iskra, they are pretty freaking good.

AIRIC 10-22-2005 07:30 PM

I listened to Napalm Death - Scum today, and I was completely blown away. I will definintely be listening to much more grind after that. I couldn't even tell you what I love about it, it's just awesome.

that would be correct.

RetiredAt21 10-26-2005 01:17 AM

Yeah, if you want to get into grind, Scum is a good place to start.

Listen to some Assuck. They're a lot like Napalm Death.

SubtleDagger 10-26-2005 06:21 AM

Napalm Death's "Enemy Of The Music Business" record kicks unbelievable amounts of ass.

Also, I realized the other day that Pig Destroyer's "Thumbsucker" owns my soul.

MILF Hunter 10-26-2005 06:26 AM

everybody check out acxdc from me, I have some on soulseek. Br00tal powerviolence

"enemy of the music business" is pretty good but when it came out and i went and picked it up i was sort of dissapointed since it reminded me more of death metal than pure grind, sort of the same way I feel about their new one "the code is red" or something to that extent.

oh and pig destroyer rule and that song is amazing.:thumb:

SubtleDagger 10-26-2005 09:44 AM

It's more death but it still rules. The Code Is Red, Long Live The Code is a bit too samey.

whiteminority 10-26-2005 02:33 PM

yeah i wasnt too impressed like i said about that new one for those same reasons.

Gnarmageddon 10-26-2005 04:49 PM

Dave, ACxDC is awesome.

yeeeeeeah

RetiredAt21 10-28-2005 03:26 PM

The riff in Thumbsucker is so brutal. I love that song.

NewKindofArmy03 10-28-2005 03:49 PM

Does anyone listen to Resistant Culture?

off of terrfyer?

Subvert_bassist 10-28-2005 04:27 PM

Resistant Culture ****ing rules. Ya know what? Crust and Grind in general rules. But there are times when I get tired of the heavy guitars and brutal growls. So I listen to some classic rock or 70's. You gotta keep an open mind, after all.

RetiredAt21 10-28-2005 04:41 PM

I have a very open mind. Earlier, I was listening to Circle of Dead Children, then after that, I listened to Across Five Aprils.

Yes Ben, I believe it is off of Terrifyer.

whiteminority 10-30-2005 07:27 AM

I like a lot of differing music myself, for example in my cd player I have Refused The Shape of Punk to Come, Tool Aenima, and Saetia A Retrospective. Variety is what makes life cool.

Yeah, that is a sweet riff Justin.
