anything like burst? I'm looking more to the max on any element while still having the same general influences...aka more proggy and/or sludgy yet till with the harcore/metal element...

Also bands with good loud/soft dynamics...don't really care about the genre as long as it has some degree of heaviness/technical skill...
remains of the day

Meatplow 08-22-2009 11:11 PM

I could use some good noise rock, so far I like Big Black and Brainbombs. The more misogynistic and perverted the better, but its not a dealbreaker if it isn't.

Txus 08-22-2009 11:22 PM

Lightning Bolt
Shellac
Arab on Radar
AIDS Wolf
Wolf Eyes

publicastration 08-23-2009 12:24 AM

old Swans is pretty pissed off noise

Meatplow 08-23-2009 12:28 AM

I have Filth and its great, should get some more Swans. I have Lightning Bolt's Wonderful Rainbow and Hypermagic Mountain but never really gave them the time of the day for some reason (I will now). Cheers.

publicastration 08-23-2009 12:30 AM

check out Cop and Young God

Children of God as well for some more experimental stuff

also, the great annihilator while not noise is one of the best albums ever created period

Txus 08-23-2009 04:05 PM

Natsumen \m/

Jaundice 08-23-2009 06:35 PM
Any album that sounds similar to Rome's Flowers From Exile?

Been playing that one a lot lately. The other Rome albums don't seem to really grow on me. I need something that sounds akin to Flowers From Exile, if that exists.
Anyone..? :(

Tyler 08-24-2009 08:32 AM

Let me get a few more listens of it in, I'll try and think of something. I have an idea of what you're looking for though.

Morumbar 08-24-2009 10:11 AM

That'd be great, thanks.

publicastration 08-24-2009 12:00 PM

Steve Von Till possibly?

Arrestum - Arrestum
The Dagda - An Endless Betrayal
Decrepit - Discography
Dystopia - Human = Garbage
Fall of Efrafa - Owlsa

Add

Aus-Rotten - The Rotten Agenda
Behind Enemy Lines - One Nation Under The Iron Fist Of God
Extreme Noise Terror - Holocaust In Your Head
Toxic Narcotic - We're All Doomed

illmitch 08-25-2009 10:12 AM

additional crust recs

Nausea - Extinction
Doom - Total Doom
Remains of the Day - An Underlying Frequency
Kakistocracy - Cast Aside Your Chains and Dance
Kegcharge - Sadistic War Glory

i consider Nausea essential, the others are all ****ing great but not necessarily formative
