Really? is it online anywhere?

Britton 10-25-2005 08:36 PM

Hey the video section is back up

Hvae you all heard that cover of for whom the bell tolls?

mr black 10-26-2005 06:27 PM

Yeah, i think its terrible... All respect to Matt musically, but after watching these live performances, Matt seems to struggle when singing his high notes (clean bits). However his uber gutteral makes up for it :thumb:

That's because they have been touring for two years straight pretty much NON stop. and for another year or more

On stage, there should be no flaws, if there are flaws as severe as singing, it's over. I can record an album by myself and garauntee it to sell, but I can't play all the instruments on stage. Live performances are everything now-a-days. If he can't sing live, he better get his shlt together.

Testify !!!:thumb: , However his guitar work is pure sex.

So what, Metallica went years at a time, and James always sounded as good as the recording and most often better.

shredgodinthemaking 10-27-2005 03:57 AM

Please refrain from ever calling a band "the best band ever" ever again. Also i would love some help with Ember to inferno's verse riff because i thought i'd give it a go, i reckon its a really groovy riff, im having trouble with the picking pattern. if you could record you playing it that'd be awsome to.:thumb:

The first album is pretty good. You should check it out obviously. The vocals are no way as powerful and the guitar isnt as good. Nevertheless its still impressive guitar work.

Gimp 10-27-2005 07:04 AM

I thought that they were really good :D

Matas 10-27-2005 09:44 AM

im not a huge fan of trivium, i just find they are yet another generic sounding band. Just because i think that doesnt mean im denying their talent.
its too bad they are playing with COB and Amon Amarth

People have only been saying that since they got popular, when I bought Ascendancy in March, not too many people had heard of them, and they were widely considered to be a very impressive up and coming metal act. Since they've gained popularity, there's been a surprising backlash against them... I don't get it, the music is the same now as it was in March

asmodeusisgod 10-27-2005 11:31 AM

I like trivium a lot, there are not a whole lot of bands that can pull of dual guitar leads like matt and corey do

WOW Kittens actually said something worthwhile for once!

That happens to almost every band. See: Avenged Sevenfold.

Britton 10-27-2005 01:13 PM

yep A7X is another of those bands that is up and coming.

It's funny my two favourite albums of the year are ascendancy
and City of Evil

Why is it funny

Britton 10-27-2005 01:15 PM

Cuase it's like they come into my life this year...then they come to my town...
then they reslease new albums and I get to see two incredible bands
that I hope to be with for the next twenty years

KittensInMicrowaves 10-27-2005 02:29 PM
That happens to almost every band. See: Avenged Sevenfold.
I can understand with A7X, they changed their style between albums, there is reason for backlash. Nothing changed with Trivium between March and now other than their general popularity

Britton 10-27-2005 02:30 PM

I'm really hapy for them. They work really hard and it's starting to pay off

Britton 10-28-2005 12:54 PM

So I'm learning ascendancy and the end of everything.

anyone else learning Trivium stuff?

crag 10-28-2005 12:55 PM

i plan to learn Rain once i get decent pick-ups in my Strat:)

Britton 10-28-2005 01:10 PM

I love how the album go's from TEOE to Rain. I play it really loud
then it comes into the metal and just kicks ***.

Nearly knocked my budy over

Turkish 10-28-2005 01:56 PM

I'm learning Gunshot right now on Guitar, but I just got Requiem minus the solo down.

MindPhish 10-28-2005 02:14 PM

I picked up the new album after I heard a song on Uranium. All I listened to for a month, I like 'em. I want to try learning some songs.

Endless Obsession 10-28-2005 02:18 PM

Everyone nominate Matt in the 100 Greatest vocalists thread.

i am the robots 10-28-2005 02:26 PM

No dude, Trivium is great, but Matt Heafy is a horrible vocalist, he doesn't scream correctly, and his clean vocals are terrible. I love his lyrics though :).

Turkish 10-28-2005 02:28 PM

I love his screaming...

i am the robots 10-28-2005 02:29 PM

I enjoy it too, but it's definately not correctly performed, plus he's a horrible live vocalist.
