Can't argue with that.

My favorite song is definitly Painkiller on the album though. The solo is better than sex.

I've been caught up with Iron Maiden so much lately I haven't had much time to listen to Priest. /Is also getting 'Angel of Retribution' soon.

angel or retribution is a great cd, i just saw them live like in october, they played a few songs from it, but they didnt play demonizer, which is my favorite song off of that album

Apocalyptic Raids 12-24-2005 10:27 PM

I like Deal With The Devil best from Angel Of Retribuition.

that is a really good song, they played that live also, i was really close to the stage and i swear that the bass was shaking my soul

I can now give my Rising In The East review.

Buy it. It isn't feature packed, and it's fairly bare bones, but the concert is spectacular. Halford is almost perfect with only a few songs where he has to restrain. I have even more respect for Scott, he's a machine back there. The setlist is great and the quality of the video and audio is perfect.

9/10

Apocalyptic Raids 12-27-2005 08:52 PM

Sounds awesome. I might try get it.

King_Of_Terrors 12-27-2005 09:12 PM

Judas Is Rising and Hellrider are both awesome songs from the new album.

Deth 12-27-2005 09:13 PM

The whole album is great.

King_Of_Terrors 12-27-2005 09:16 PM

I haven't listened to Priest in FOREVER, I'm giving Painkiller a listen right now.

Night Crawler is cool.

Battle Hymn is a nice little guitar break. Little interlude thingy.

One Shot At Glory 's intro is great so far, I'll post the rest later.

That song was great, and so was Metal Meltdown. Definatly gaining speed now.

I'm on All Guns Blazing, I like how the guitar goes with the vocals.

Deth 12-27-2005 09:23 PM

His falsetto at the end of One Shot At Glory is magnificant.

King_Of_Terrors 12-27-2005 09:50 PM

Holy sh+t, what is the song after Leather Rebel? I haven't checked yet, but it is fecking awesome.

Ah, Painkiller. Awesome song.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-27-2005 11:12 PM

Metal Meltdown is the song after Leather Rebel. It is my third favourite on Painkiller. Nightcrawler is my second favourite behind the almighty title track.

JACKROXYOU 12-27-2005 11:17 PM

any angels of ret fans?

Apocalyptic Raids 12-27-2005 11:18 PM

AOR is hit and miss for me.

JACKROXYOU 12-27-2005 11:20 PM

yea it has 4 really hit tracks then the rest is meh

Riva 12-28-2005 06:05 AM

They kind of got caught up in the whole "returning to Sad Wings of Destiny" whilst trying to keep Painkiller's intensity. So we have a heavy metal album with some great numbers like Hellrider, and then some awful numbers like Revolution, and some mediocore ones like Lochness.

All in all a good album, though.

ThrashMaster27 12-28-2005 06:20 AM

Yeah, I said it was Painkiller Mark II, but it's probably more Ram It Down than anything else. Hellrider and Deal With The Devil are great, plus a few middle of the bar efforts, along with some horrible songs.

Isn't Ram It Down your fave album, Cairns boy?

Riva 12-28-2005 06:23 AM

I'm not too sure. I do realise how simply atrocious Love Zone, Monster of Rock and Come And Get It are, so I might nominate Sad Wings or Hellbent For Leather as my most favourite album for consistency. However, Ram It Down is my favourite song. Can't beat those vocals, nor the guitar solos.

ThrashMaster27 12-28-2005 06:27 AM

Yeah, the duel leads still make me shudder. I used be like "Have they finished yet? :O" and then another lead.

Stained Class is the most consistant for me. No songs are fillers on that album.

PS - Is that ZZ Top in your avatar?

Deth 12-28-2005 11:16 AM

I would call Invader a filler. It's not terrible but it certainly isn't a classic.

Painkiller or Stained Class is my favorite.

naboo 12-28-2005 11:41 AM

Sin After Sin is my favorite.

Does anyone beside me really like Lochness? I don't know why, but I just love it.

I haven't had to do this for along time but...

Deth 12-28-2005 10:15 PM

Yeah, Lochness owns.

King_Of_Terrors 12-28-2005 10:19 PM

One of my favorite tracks by them, and it doesn't even get boring for how long it is.

Deth 12-28-2005 10:45 PM

The intro may be overly long though.

King_Of_Terrors 12-28-2005 11:26 PM

Still not boring though.

It was, yes.

It does actually get boring for me.

King_Of_Terrors 12-29-2005 01:14 AM

Riva you dissapoint me

I haven't listened to the new album in a while, I will tomorrow probably.

GenuineImitation 12-29-2005 02:04 PM

Lochness is a really good song. Its my favorite off of Angel of Retribution.

King_Of_Terrors 12-29-2005 02:22 PM

There was some interview with the singer on my local radio station when the album was released, it was pretty cool.
