Anyone here a fan of the Powerage album? Its a great collection of tunes such as Gimme a Bullet, Riff Raff, and Sin City that rarely gets mentioned and is never heard on the radio.
Its definitely in the top three for me. Despite that most AC/DC albums are, I find it to be a great driving album. Gotta say Gimme a Bullet is my favorite Powerage song, but there isn't a bad song on the whole album.

What does everyone think of Let me put my love into you. Everyone talks about the back in black album but no-one talks about that song.

One of my favourite songs off the album

It's a very good song, funny lyrics too..."Let me cut your cake with my knife." I like pretty much all of the lesser known songs from the album, ie Givin the Dog a Bone, What do you do for Money Honey, Have a Drink on Me, etc.

Six Foot Revolver 02-08-2005 05:20 AM

All the songs are brilliant. Such a great album

Yeah, the typical larrikin, low key, funnyman, politically incorrect lyrics, simple great you gotta love em for that.

Actually my favourite from that album is Shake a Leg (well next to hells bells it is)

ArcLite 02-08-2005 05:42 AM

Yeah that's a good song too. So is Rock and Roll ain't Noise Pollution, love that song. Hell, they're all good. What an album.

Six Foot Revolver 02-08-2005 05:49 AM

I've got for those about to rock we salute you, high voltage, highway to hell, back in black and if you want blood you've got it. What other albums do you reckon I should get?

ArcLite 02-08-2005 05:51 AM

POWERAGE for sure, awesome and rarely mentioned album of the Bon days. Get Dirty Deeds and Razor's Edge too.

Six Foot Revolver 02-08-2005 07:25 AM

Powerage it is

angus_young1990 02-08-2005 11:02 AM

strap on is not the name of the new album that is just a rumour made by some werido

Brian Goss 02-08-2005 12:03 PM

My favorite album by them is Flick of the Switch right now. :D

All these people who think AC-DC has written the same music over and over needs to compare the Flick of the Switch album to the Highway to Hell album..Both have awesome guitar sounds, but the tones and overall vibe are a lot different.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 02:29 AM

Yeah, all thier albums are different, some more than others. I always thought Razor's Edge had a much different sound than any other Brian-era album. I think most people who say all their songs are the same are people who only know what they hear on the radio and are not familiar with numerous albums as a whole.

Let There Be Rock. The greatest AC/DC album of all time. Gotta love the solo to whole lotta rosie.

couldn't argue with that

rippa32 02-09-2005 04:02 AM

Is it just my album or does Whole Lotta Rosie go for longer than what is written on the case?

Ulysses 02-09-2005 04:04 AM
Is it just my album or does Whole Lotta Rosie go for longer than what is written on the case?
It goes for longer than written on the case, I have noticed that with "If You Want Blood" too, most of the songs exceed the time printed on the casing.

rippa32 02-09-2005 04:08 AM

Ok. What AC/DC albums have you got Ulysses.

Ulysses 02-09-2005 04:12 AM

All of them bought except TNT and recordings such as Live at Atlantic Studios and singles.

rippa32 02-09-2005 04:33 AM

Ill definataly end up with all of them. You said you didnt have TNT, are you an australian?

Ulysses 02-09-2005 04:46 AM

Yeah I'm from Sydney, proud Aussie but I bought High Voltage instead although it would be worth getting TNT at some stage, I have a lot of imports in my collection and because TNT wasn't published overseas it's hard to find for a reasonable price (with so many record stores in Sydney I never pay full price these days), so I haven't really bothered to purchase it. They sell it one record store in the CBD but I have other albums in mind before I get it, I would also like to get the Australian Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap because the cover rips the imported version. What AC/DC records do you have?

Ulysses 02-09-2005 05:14 AM

Yeah, some of AC/DC's lesser known songs still rock the house down it's just they haven't been exposed as the others have. "Shake a Leg" and "Have a Drink On Me" are two of my favourites from Back In Black.

I am also a proud aussie. The albums I have are:

High Voltage (like you its the international one so m going to have to get TNT as well as the Aussie original)

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (Aussie Version. Not only is the cover better but there are songs I dont think you can get on any international releases)

Let There Be Rock (Same as Dirty Deeds comments)

Highway To Hell

Back In Black

For Those About To Rock

Razors Edge

Live

I will probably get Powerage or Flick of the Switch next.

ArcLite 02-09-2005 05:23 AM

You don't have Powerage? Wow, that is a great must have album. Its in the top three of the Bon days for sure. Such a great album but its not very known.

rippa32 02-09-2005 05:27 AM

I came close to getting it once. But I had just recently spent too much money on CD's so I decided against it. It was a hard decision but I had to do it for my bank balance.

Slash4040 02-09-2005 04:07 PM
You are uterley true and although it hurts millions of kook kids around the world- AC/DC wasn't all that talented. So stop trying to be popular by following the crowd and throw down you Back In Black shirts you bought at Target and Wal-Mart.
AB/CD 02-09-2005 05:03 PM
