Yeah, listen to something off of their Division of Labor album, or anything before The Rescue for that matter.

I'm naming you Mitch.

A few days away from seeing Envy, Malady and Today I Wait. :D

Wallside, amazing MI 'emo' band. There are hardly any emo bands left. Milemarker and stuff are clearly not emo. What gives them more emotion than, say, My Chemical Romance? |
I bet that vallely guy made a new user name he thought sounded emo (A Year and an Ocean) and now is trying to reestablish himself and win back our hearts since we broke him.
You shouldn't have been so mean. He was just a little confused or what have you, and SubtleDagger did say that MCR were "pop-punk" which clearly they aren't on most of the first album. The second album... Yeah maybe. Haven't listened to it much yet. Silly emo elitists  I'm going back to my ska thread now, where I can poke n00bs around and make them my bitch... ... :upset: |
No. Not at all.
I bet that vallely guy made a new user name he thought sounded emo (A Year and an Ocean) and now is trying to reestablish himself and win back our hearts since we broke him.
actually im still here as strong as ever. stop bitching behind my back you child  |

Anyone heard about The Fall Of Troy? I'm looking for artists who sound close to this:
http://www.purevolume.com/thefalloftroy I like fast, complex, guitar riffs above everything else, along with lots of screaming and an emo touch. |
It's straight up in your face cunt.
 it's so funny, cause it's so true. and The Fall of Troy is pretty freaking awesome. |

An excellent band, you should check them out. And no, I just stumbled across this whole thing online last night and thought it looked cool so I joined. |
They've been a band whose mp3's have eluded me for a long time now. Can you send me some songs through AIM. The screen name is DFelon204409. My connection is ridiculously fast because I'm at college.
Sure thing. |

http://www.purevolume.com/thefalloftroy I like fast, complex, guitar riffs above everything else, along with lots of screaming and an emo touch.
Fall Of Troy are fairly unique, or at least I've never heard another band quiet like them. The closest I can think of is Fordirelifesake. Amazing band with amazing talent. http://www.purevolume.com/fordirelifesake The best songs on their newest album, Dance.Pretend.Forget.Defend. are "Recover", "Ammunition For Your Conversation", and "Dependant On Affection". Another band, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, is more melodic than the two, more like Mars Volta than anything, but still reminiscent of what I think you're looking for. http://www.myspace.com/thesoundofanimalsfighting (clips, not full songs) If you like either of the two, hit me up on AIM (IbleedtheskyI) and I'll send you whatever :thumb: |
Dfelon likes the Fordirelifesake. He's the one who told me about them.

Okay, anyone ever heard of a band called Light Fuse and Get Away (and no, I'm not talking about Light the Fuse and Run). I picked up a live demo and it sounded pretty sweet but I think the band was more of a joke than anything? I dunno. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about this band.
Really? Well I don't dislike him, I just wondered for a while if it really was a man singing when I first discovered Saosin... :amaze: BleedTheSky, are you the one who made a list of emo/screamo/indie and related bands? You made a large post of bands just listing bands beginning with A, then B... I can't find that thread, anyone have the link? I need to check out some new bands. |

Lazy, I suppose. I should add "An Embrace Of Angels" and "Heroes And Hearasy" to that list. Solid emo bands. |
I liked it.
Good. Too bad I'll never hear anther song from them again ever. |
This thread is getting way to big cause all of those ignorant people calling pop-punk bands - emo!
My favourite emo bands: Rites of Spring, Fugazi, Hoover, Still life, Christie Front Drive, Elliot. |
