I was tempted to buy Jamie Cullum's Twentysomething(?) album today, for £6 from that stall guy, but decided against it, as I've already spent waaay too much money in the last month or so. Did I make a mistake?

Yeah, I've loved all that I've heard... I've been meaning to buy this LP for like... 6 months, it's ridiculous how I've put this one off. Maybe I'll pick up Audit in Progress at the local record shop in a couple weeks...

Audit in Progress is really really good.

Great albums, like Radiohead's "OK Computer", need to be listened to a couple of times at the very least. I missed so much the first time through on that one, even on Coldplay's "A Rush of to the Head". Great advice. |

I got it just before I went to work. I'll post my opinion in a bit. |
Shatner's cd is nice. It's like having your father read a romanticized memoir to you set to music by your aunts and uncles. As far as "novelty" albums go, it's a mighty fine one. I don't regret buying it.

Talkie Walkie is worthy of most of the praise it receives. I find it relaxing. If you're spanning all genres, it's one of the year's best releases, in the top 25 at least. The last track on the cd is also on the Lost In Translation soundtrack as one of the more atmospheric pieces so if you liked the movie and the soundtrack, definitely get the cd. I know you have one of the more open tastes of the "Titans" so I'd suggest maybe listening to some streams from Amazon before commiting to purchase but if you've been meaning to buy it, I'd say to go for it. I'm content with my purchase.
I hope that helps. :) |
