you ordered catalogs for the sole purpose of getting stickers?

if you want stickers, go to the little machines at the grocery store. you put a quarter in, and they give you stickers.

Futuro 02-06-2007 08:06 PM

Van halen is horrible.

Futuro 02-06-2007 08:12 PM

I have been diggin Konono n01, and Tom Griesgraber lately.
So you think King Crimson, ELP, and Jethro Tull suck?
King crimson isnt classic rock, they have evolved with the music trends there latest albums are technical metal.

I still listen to some classic rock stuff with 3 chords and with basic rhythms, I just cant comprehend how someone can only listen to that.

Their material made from In the Court of the Crimson King to Red is Classic Rock. Remember, Classic Rock *IS NOT* a genre, its a time period.

oic, im ignorant and thought it was a genre. :o

Chippy569 02-06-2007 08:26 PM

genres are getting passe.

"Dude, this song rocks"
"nuh uh dude, it's totally nu-prog melodic transmetal"
"wtf?"

if you want your band to be different and unique, set yourself apart with what you SAY in your music, not your label.

Seafroggys 02-06-2007 08:31 PM

well most people consider it a genre, they think "Oh yeah AC/DC Rolling Stones" when in fact it has been decided by the Classic Rock fanatics of MX (myself included) that it covers any music from any semi-popular genre of music during a specific time period. That time period differs from person to person, for me its 1965-1980; anything that's folk, rock, psychadelic, fuision, pop, etc.

TimJim 02-06-2007 08:34 PM

all my senior friends call anything that screams hardcore. drives me nuts

my mom calles it "screamo"

Undisco Kidd 02-06-2007 08:34 PM

Yeah, the Classic Rock Period was right after the Triassic Period if I'm not mistaken.

Futuro 02-06-2007 08:35 PM

I call it trash. :)

Chippy569 02-06-2007 08:36 PM

without classic rock your music of today wouldn't exist :)

the only thing dumber than genre classifying is genre bashing. "OMG Hardcore music is so dumb."
1. chances are, you haven't actually sat down and listened to it.
2. chances are, you never actually will.
3. Should you argue against 1 or 2, you probably have heard one or two bands that classify themselves as some sub-sub-sub genre and the band itself was bad (like in a high school or whatever) and you thought that all music in the genre sounded like that.

that's like saying romantic art sucks, or that postmodern novels are pointless.

o.O

drummguy731 02-06-2007 08:37 PM

without jazz classic rock wouldn't exist.

TimJim 02-06-2007 08:38 PM

So I was sitting outside on the trunk of my car waiting for someone for like 45 minutes today.

And I managed to get a sunburn on the back of my neck, 'cept I was wearing a choker so it's red and burnt with a perfect, untouched white line inbetween.

Ahh, desert weather, how I missed it.

I waited outside for 15 minutes.

I froze.

Sunshine 02-06-2007 08:41 PM

I'm sorry.

I have no idea where this 70~80 degree weather came from, it snowed last week and I had to defrost my car to get to school just last Friday.

But I'm not complaining.

Chippy569 02-06-2007 08:41 PM

i walked from my front door to my car on the driveway and the snot froze in my nose.... -14F this morning.
