I've only ben to a few shows but I always go into the pit it's cool but I'm tiny so sometimes I get thrown around a lot but it's cool cause my buddy Corey is huge and he makes sure I don't get run over and ****.
Push pits are okay by me, but I stay the hell away from the pit at hardcore shows.

The mosh pit at the Academy Is... show last night was mad fun. :p

Hep Kat 02-04-2006 03:02 PM
I think that I might go, too, I'm really bored and maybe I'll do some homework or something. Ew.
Man, don't concern yourself with your future.
People starting moshing for this ****ty metlacore band last night. All their songs were palm muted chords and then the cliche clean part in the middle. All these girls with their video cameras were up front for them too. Then when we played they all peaced out.
That's how it goes :-\

Cept when we played we had some trendy emofags staring at our guitar player all night/checking him out we think :-\

Good thing I'm ugly and uberhairy.

B 02-04-2006 03:03 PM
Dude I knew exactly what was going down, I was in total control. But it was a hella fuked up control. I did get lost sometimes though with tthe like 8 conversations at once.

Gav: I know what you're saying man, I went to Reggie and the full effect/Alk3/MCR and all the kids sucked at moshing, I was the only one picking up the people who fell so that I was so exhausted by the time Alk3 was on I had to leave the pit and just watch. It was lame. But the older people came in for Alk3 so I assume it was better then.
Yeah man that's what I mean, we had like 5 conversations oging at once it was confusing sometimes.

Some people in the pits are just fags, I mean, when someone falls they'd get like squished unless someone helps them. Lucky you were there or there'd be tons of flat 12 year old kids.

birna: yeah man I know what you mean. the hardcore pits probably get pretty rough.

Yeah, but it was awesome.

Eh, they were all like 12...it was an MCR show. But the fat ones just knocked kids the fuk out and it was bad times. If I wasn't so much bigger than them I'd've been getting hurt too. Most of the parents were thanking me though because they sucked at pit ettiquette too :-\

Mute Print 02-04-2006 03:05 PM

Going to shows that draw a lot of inexperienced kids is always tough because they have no idea what they're doing.
birna: yeah man I know what you mean. the hardcore pits probably get pretty rough.
Hardcore shows are rough in general. At Terror, I was standing against a wall, and people were still stage diving right into me. It was nuts.

DJ Ducksauce 02-04-2006 03:06 PM

Haha. Birna.

One of my friends went to a Relient K and ended up in a mosh pit. She got hit in the head. She didn't know really anything about moshing really, but she didn't feel too good after that.

I wouldn't really say anyone knows what the fuck they're doing, in a situation like that.

Dude, Relient K was probably tame as hell.

Hardcore pits suck, metal pits rock though. Makes no logical sense.

cbmartinez 02-04-2006 03:09 PM

My friend said he saw people mosh at Modest Mouse.

DJ Ducksauce 02-04-2006 03:09 PM

Yeah, it was Relient K/MxPx/Rufio I think. I dunno, I think it was a first time concert though, so I dunno.

Permanent Solution 02-04-2006 03:10 PM
My friend said he saw people mosh at Modest Mouse.
How? :-\

Actually no I know how...some guy was trying to mosh at Minus The Bear. Everyone just kept throwing him into the stage (which is at about hip level) until he cut it out. SOme people are idiots.

Oh Justin, I know that one, I wanted to go but it was too far away :( Oh well. MXPX was fun when I saw them, tame though. Rufio is probably the hardest band on there.

PS: I'm going to shower, see you kids in a bit.

ugh fat mcr kids are lame.

birna: That's crazy, they were beatin people off the stage at Haste The day so noe one could stage dive and they were beatin up some of the crowd surfers too it was weird.

Haha, the lead singer for Terror kept telling people to stage dive. It was insane. Bodies were flying everywhere, and the pit was as large/crazy as I've ever seen.
