I'm sorry to hear it too AP! They're going through a rough patch, which means I have to pretend to be understanding. On the brightside... Probably means they'll break up soon!

And gaslight, don't get an iPod - I've heard they're not great. My Zen Micro is stuffing up a bit, though I'm not sure if that's the mp3 player or the headphones yet.
Yeah, I don't want an iPod. I have race issues with those.

I am looking at a Creative Zen Jukebox 60GB. Looks like a sweet one.

fatbandit 05-07-2005 08:40 AM

I blew £500 on a guitar for a friend yesterday...

Really? I rather like my iPod.

fatbandit 05-07-2005 08:41 AM

Do you really need 60GB? Some people do I suppose...

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 08:41 AM

what guitar?

Foxfire 05-07-2005 08:42 AM

I have 40, and the "20,000 songs" thing is only with 128 bit, I think, or maybe even 96.

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 08:42 AM

That's like... 900$!

It better be a good friend......

gaslight 05-07-2005 08:42 AM

Well it comes in 30GB or 60GB, and the price difference between those two is sort of a case of well, why not.

The plus side of 60GB is that I can back up literally every single thing I have on there as well as the music.

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 08:43 AM

i'm so poor
i only have a MD player :upset:

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 08:44 AM

I have a CD player!

fatbandit 05-07-2005 08:44 AM

Look at an iRiver. I've heard only good things about them.

And it was an ESP M307 guitar. He wanted a seven string. He's paying me back with £500 and a UHF wireless unit though. After GCSEs (he gets paid for them by his parents, lucky fuck).

gaslight 05-07-2005 08:44 AM

I have a discman, and I love it. It's like a marriage. But I can't be bothered carting CD's everywhere I go anymore, so I may have to get an mp3 player as like, some fun on the side.

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 08:45 AM

That's cool.

I still don't want to pay 600$ on an acoustic though.

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 08:47 AM

as an alternative to look into, Sony Now make 1GB mini discs
i know u still have to carry the things but thats an unlimited amount of stuff u can have.....well....sorta

fatbandit 05-07-2005 08:47 AM

Buy me an acoustic then.

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 08:50 AM

Well, I want a 400$ bass, and I need to pay off what I owe for Berklee, and I want an acoustic (for 200$). I'm planning on trading in my GSR and my P for the acoustic right now. I have, like 650$...

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 08:51 AM

i'm selling my bass and an old guitar so i can buy a new bass and amp
sadly, i also have to find spending money for my holiday so it looks like i'll have to get a 2nd job :upset:

Foxfire 05-07-2005 08:52 AM

I want a drumset.

gaslight 05-07-2005 08:52 AM

I'm getting an acoustic guitar on monday :D.

Then I can write lame sad instrumentals.

sixxbassist90 05-07-2005 08:56 AM

i want a new amp

fatbandit 05-07-2005 08:57 AM

I want an electroacoustic for shits and giggles.

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 08:57 AM
I'm getting an acoustic guitar on monday :D.

ha! i find that when i play my acoustic all i do is play the sadest chord i can find for hours on end, changing between fingers and pick and then accassionally changing to another chord and then back

i have no idea why i do t but i just sit there for decades playing the same damn Em7 chord or whatever

neal_672 05-07-2005 08:59 AM

neal_672 05-07-2005 08:59 AM

/already has an acoustic :thumb: they're fun but i want an electric as it's hard to solo on an acoustic with no cutaway...

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 09:01 AM

Heh, every time I play an acoustic, I just play the chords for "House of the Rising Son". I don't even play the real part, just the chords in it. Every single time. I play the intro to "Fish On" a lot too.

fatbandit 05-07-2005 09:01 AM

Yeah, electroacoustic, with at least 21 frets and cutaway. I would love it.

Foxfire 05-07-2005 09:01 AM

I'm going to buy a Douglas guitar then mod it.

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 09:02 AM

i got an electro acoustic with a cutaway

Neal, ill sell u my random Epiphone Superstrat thing

gaslight 05-07-2005 09:02 AM

I have an electric but I want a better one.

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 09:03 AM

i just got a new one, i keep showing it off but it plays like an absolute dream and the tone is gorgeous

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 09:04 AM

I also reeeeally want a banjo.

Foxfire 05-07-2005 09:05 AM

I just want a drumset so I can jam with people and not have to move my cab.

gaslight 05-07-2005 09:05 AM

I'm going incredibly over my budget on the electric-acoustic I'm getting, but it will be worth it because then I won't even go buying another one improve on it.

My sense of financial logic leaves much to be desired,

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 09:05 AM
I also reeeeally want a banjo.
i saw a ukelele (sp?) for about £25 and i was so tempted to buy it
sadly i didn't cos i'm a poor student but i really wish i had now, think of the righteous uke solos i could rip up on that thing

PaulSimonon 05-07-2005 09:07 AM

My shop has tons of ukeleles, my friend picked one up and danced around with it for awhile... I was watching Later with Jules Holland (or something), and some girl witha ukelele came on... It was very very odd.

fatbandit 05-07-2005 09:08 AM

Dude, I bought a Uke off eBay for £15, and took it to a bass lesson. My teacher just took it, worked out a pentatonic scale, and soloed for the whole lesson

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 09:10 AM

they just look like so cute, like a little pixie should be playing it or something
*sigh*...i gotta stop sniffing that Ajax

fatbandit 05-07-2005 09:11 AM

I am a little pixie!

neal_672 05-07-2005 09:14 AM

I've never even heard of an Epiphone Superstrat  Nor do i know how much one would set me back...

ElKapitan 05-07-2005 09:14 AM

yeah, hows that work out for ya?
