Very few Brits under the age of 20 can write an entire sentence without a spelling error. In America, it's mostly people under 19 1/2 that have that problem.
Sources?

Rancid Dan 06-03-2005 12:12 PM
What the hell is up with popsicle? Candy? Calling chips fries, then calling crisps chips?!

It's stupid Sidewalk, becauee they have to take it so literal, when they speak English and there is already an english word for it...

Untitled 06-03-2005 12:12 PM
What's funny about sidewalk? It's a walkway on the side of the road.
Its a pavement, or path, not sidewalk.

Untitled 06-03-2005 12:13 PM
Haha, i heard about that on the news, i thought it was completely ridiculous.
Yeah, i just did then, kinda sick as well.

PDWAB 06-03-2005 12:17 PM

Someone update on what happened in the past few days, I have no idea what's going on.

Kif 06-03-2005 12:18 PM

Apparently there was a hacker or something, I don't know the full details

Untitled 06-03-2005 12:18 PM

Captain Jack Sparrow 06-03-2005 12:22 PM
What the hell is up with popsicle? Candy? Calling chips fries, then calling crisps chips?!
Popsicle - I don't know. It's supposed to be similar to icicle though.
Fries - Why would they be chips? They're fried potatos.
Chips - They're chips of potato.

Firecracker 06-03-2005 12:22 PM

The street is made of pavement too, as are blacktops and road medians. GG on being disturbingly general.

Some people spammed the forums into hell, so the mods closed them to clean it up...

Tea was nice...

Rancid Dan 06-03-2005 12:24 PM

Roads are made of tarmac. Pavement is made of flags, aka paving slabs.

Firecracker 06-03-2005 12:25 PM

Aluminum!!?
Aluminum!!?
Ha ha, they say that word so funny.

Captain Jack Sparrow 06-03-2005 12:25 PM
Roads are made of tarmac. Pavement is made of flags, aka paving slabs.
Wtf is tarmac? We have some tar roads, but tar is only used for repairs. 99% of the roads are made of pavement.

Rancid Dan 06-03-2005 12:26 PM

NO MORE USA vs. UK ARGUMENTS

Untitled 06-03-2005 12:27 PM
Wtf is tarmac? We have some tar roads, but tar is only used for repairs. 99% of the roads are made of pavement.
How can it be made from pavement? that would take forever to lay down. I think tar, is short for tarmac.

Captain Jack Sparrow 06-03-2005 12:27 PM
How can it be made from pavement? that would take forever to lay down. I think tar, is short for tarmac.
Pavement = poured cement. It's cheap and doesn't wear down.

Rancid Dan 06-03-2005 12:29 PM

Untitled 06-03-2005 12:29 PM

Pavement = Paving flags, there concreat squares that are lay down like bricks. If you was to make a road from it, then it would take forever.

Rancid Dan 06-03-2005 12:29 PM

Most of the roads areound here are tarmac...

They have like a rubber and tarmac or something, they put it under slides, and swings and stuff in parks, so if kids fall off they have a nice soft landing.
