Are there any RHCP songs with finger-style funk lines?
"Mommy. Where's daddy?" has a pretty funky bass riff fingerstyle
I only mention it because it's on at the moment. A lot of the older stuff pre-blood sugar... was pretty funky, but a lot of it was also slap/pop. Speaking of that album, Sir Psycho Sexy!

Good to hear from you Hex. I know what you mean with people talking **** when you're already down. Last thing you want is some idiot winging at you about crap.

When's your match against Tyson? :p I shouldn't joke, I know it's not something you're proud of or happy about, but you've always got to laugh.

I don't like the recorded version too much, it's too empty, and keidis lyrics sound cr.ap on it. The live at slane version kicks major ass though.

Jublian 09-23-2004 01:05 AM

hello everyone, ive gotta tel some one this

yesterday i tried some diving at the local pool using this techniwue i read about once, you completely exhale and then dive. its really weird but its scary as hell
i sank to the bottom of the 3 metre pool and just as i started to feel uncomfortable i realised that i wasnt going to float to the top

neway hope ur all well

gaslight 09-23-2004 01:20 AM

^ So like, by exhaling, you don't have much air in you when you hit the water, so you aren't bouyant, so you sink?

Cool.

Jublian 09-23-2004 01:26 AM

yeah

it takes some getting used to
also alot of mammals (seals and the lot) dive after exhaling

gaslight 09-23-2004 01:27 AM

So wait... how do you get back to the top?

Jublian 09-23-2004 01:33 AM

thats the hard part, specially when ur chest is about to esplode

gaslight 09-23-2004 01:36 AM

Now I don't know whether to try it or not :amaze:.

Jublian 09-23-2004 01:38 AM
maybe start in the shallow end buddy
"Hey guys, watch this!" *Exhales and dives in.*

"What's he doing man?"
"I dunno... I think he's dead."
"Are you sure? I think he's trying to stay down there or something."

<Hour later.>

"That's a pretty good trick hey man."
"No dude I think he's actually dead."
"Oh... cool."
"Yeah."

popinfresh 09-23-2004 02:36 AM

What you gonna spend it on?
Beethoven was a deaf bastard
Bah. I resent that statement.

gaslight 09-23-2004 04:14 AM
What you gonna spend it on?
I don't know really.

Either pedals, or an electric-acoustic guitar.

I think the guitar, because it costs more, and it's easier to save for a small goal than a big one.

Alma 09-23-2004 04:56 AM

what brand?
Quoted by gaslight...Why...I'm honoured. :) By the way where do you get your avatars. That tree one was awesome.
Hehe :p.

I steal my avatars from several places.

I use pics from explodingdog.com a fair bit, I've had three or four from that site.

The tree one, if it's the one I think you're talking about, was the cover of Phantom Limbs, the Something For Kate B-Sides album.

In the past I've also had some random photos of warehouses, and a couple of animated ones of Trent from Daria. (Role model of mine.)

 i think he beat you on that one buddy

risbo 09-23-2004 06:30 AM

*checks the site out*

That's awesome in a wierd way. I can't tell if the pictures are ment to be seriouse or funny. I have mixed feelings. I'll take a look at some more later, but for now I'm off to school!

moxshyfter 09-23-2004 07:22 AM
