well, it will work, but i had to retune the whole dam thing is all i was saying.
Time taken to retune - Time to change from E to D without method = Big big saving

clearvision 05-04-2005 03:06 PM
If the chance came up would you want to get signed? Also what about touring? I mean that has to take a toll on your day jobs.
Is it just me or does Ken never reply to my questions.

Adam Jones is GOD 05-04-2005 03:16 PM

clearvision 05-04-2005 03:24 PM

Meh i even tried to flag ken down in the drum forum the other week, just go looked over :(

Adam Jones is GOD 05-04-2005 03:25 PM

AIM him is probably the best way. Of course, i despise AIM and wont reinstall it unless msn explodes.

I cant remember his AIM though.

Darkness 05-04-2005 03:32 PM

I have a Kahler bridge on my guitar, one with the locking and everything. My teacher told me these are better then most floyd roses, as they are easier to move and stuff...

Adam Jones is GOD 05-04-2005 04:04 PM

As an American, I'll be interested to read the article..

/makes way to the Tool site

Oh, and my real name is Kyle.

joas 05-04-2005 06:18 PM

I'm Jacob, but I only stop by this thread from time to time.

What would you do if Tool's album leaked? Download and listen, or wait?

.. Or perhaps, download, listen, and then buy once it came out? O_o

Huber 05-04-2005 06:40 PM

I'd wait. It'd be worth it to build the anticipation up until the release.

Good subject BTW :thumb:

misunderstood 05-04-2005 06:50 PM

I'd probably wait also just like I did for the NIN release. Waiting for the release date just builds up alot more excitment and when you finally have it in your hands...it's great! Heh.
Oh, by the way, I'm Carla.

Huber 05-04-2005 07:04 PM

Yeah, I can't wait for the Catch 33 release! I've waited so long and seen so many mixed reviews it's going to be a great experience when I first buy it.

Darkness 05-04-2005 07:22 PM

My real names Mike...

And I wouldn't download it, me and my friend have talked about camping outside the day before it comes out so were first in line at CD plus. :D

If you're talking about the Volto! thing, then yeah. That should be totally awesome. Chad from the Chili Peppers will be drumming there, too.

I'm Dan, by the way.

Darkness 05-04-2005 07:30 PM
Do you really think there would be a line?
Mabye not for Tool, but there probably would be a few people there. Its a busy place.

Moses 05-04-2005 07:37 PM

My name's Nojus. (Noyus) It's Lithuanian, came to America when I was two.

Dried Muffin Remnants 05-04-2005 07:49 PM

My name's Dave and I'm a 12 year old male prostitute from Amsterdam; that may explain my poor singing voice.

What's this about Danny? Doing some sort of a fusion thing?

Ben, are you under some misconception that all Americans can easily get from one side of the country to the other? I'm from Houston, and New Jersey is...well...a couple hundred miles from here :p

On the other hand, I'm extremely excited by Blair's post, because it confirms that they're actually recording.

Static 05-04-2005 08:27 PM

Hi, my name is George. I stop by here every once in a while, but i never really post. Tool is my favorite band (just ask Madey). Im not exactly new, but i dont know why i never really got into the tool thread. So ill be here a lot now. Oh and to answer your question, i wouldnt download it, id get it when it came out.

SonorKen 05-04-2005 08:32 PM
If the chance came up would you want to get signed? Also what about touring? I mean that has to take a toll on your day jobs.
I promise ya I don't ignore anyone. I have been behind a drum kit for about 9 hours and am pretty wore out.

Hmm would we sign if offered, depending on the deal Im certain we would if we were ready and we would tour to promote the recording. After the day we had today I feel like Im putting the horse before the cart, had one of those days of banging your head against the wall.

Werny 05-04-2005 08:33 PM
Oh Im not worked up at all, its quite the contrary. People are already trying to get us to play shows and we won't budge. We have certain objectives in mind and long term goals set, goals 2 years down the road. We have amazing guest guitarists, and vocalists scheduled to come jam with us. We are definiatly not in this for the money, all of us in the band are financially set and in no hurry to try to force anything. We are actually in about the best shape a band could hope to be in, we all have alot of life experience and strong opinions about what we want to do. The guys I am with are very intelligent and some of the most unique people you will ever meet. We range in age from the early 20's to early 30's and have occupations ranging from Engineers to Physics majors.

The point Im trying to make is were not going to be one of those bands that are trying to write something popular to get noticed. The stuff we are working on is actually very much against the mainstream grain and not very popular topics. These are things important to us that we feel many more people have the same outlook.

As far as success if it comes it comes, the cd we are working on is for 4 people. If others like it then that is the cherry ontop of the icing.
Ok man, sorry for the little mix up.

It sounds great, it's always great to hear another smart band is starting. I know you all love Tool, but when you start writing your own stuff do you think you'll go progressive?

Can't WAIT to hear some stuff, maybe you might end up inspiring me to actually learn drums.
