since Napoleon Dynamite. now I'm sure its a way better movie, but the only reason it could have even been produced in the first place was if it could be marketed to people who like high school nerd comedies like ND.

I watched Knocked Up the other day. It wasn't all that and a bag of potato chips.

i already explained this: Apatow is writing the same stuff he would have in any other situation because that is his niche, but the fact that Napoleon Dynamite was such a big hit is the main reason that his movie got made and will probably be successful.

however, i still think Superbad would be successful without ND. in fact, this could have been the catalyst for nerdy teen movies INSTEAD of ND if Superbad just happened to come out first.

I read an interview with Judd Apatow where he said that his strategy was sort of to have a number of relatively low budget projects going at the same time and hope some of them catch on or something.

Should I be flattered or creeped out if a friend of mine who recently got a last.fm account is quite frequently listening to my site's radio station?

I'd be pissed. Back when I used to talk about bands and music with friends, there was always this one dude that would come up to me and be like, "You know that band you like? Yeah, I love them, man!" It was weird and it made me want to stop hanging out with him.

He's not like that. Recently he's just been interested in what I listen to, ever since I said I have almost 9,000 songs on my computer (which on these forums, is not actually that much, so I didn't think much of it) and he was dumbfounded because he only has about 700. So he heard me and another music savvy friend talking about last.fm, he gets one, and within a few days is listening to my radio station.

I think you have a secret admirer. The rest of us should be so lucky.

ok so now my ipod is connect to my last fm and the app recognizes it so does it upload all the stats for what i listened to today or something

got a microkorg, shure sm57 and new headphones for my birthday

no, Seth Rogen and some other guy wrote the script when they were like 13. Rogen used part of it to get casted on [I]Freaks and Geeks[/I].

Apatow is just a producer on this one.
