FUNKNBASS 09-22-2004 06:46 PM

^^^ I do backround vocals sometimes, i have a few songs kinda like Pea by RHCP.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 06:47 PM

My band is doing a Ramones cover in memeory of Johnny Ramone (1948-2004) and I was picked to do vocals.

jazzfunkboy 09-22-2004 06:51 PM
Isn't it like up 3 half steps down 3 half steps?

I've heard about them... but they left my brain already....

by one of them I meant sharp/flat or do i mean G clef or F clef... dude im so confused...

and another thing... I can really only read F clef fluently... It takes a few seconds longer on G :(
screw G clef :p

memorizing your keys really isnt that hard, its just time consuming (you have to have a drive to keep at it).
^^^ I do backround vocals sometimes, i have a few songs kinda like Pea by RHCP.
greatest song ever.

FUNKNBASS 09-22-2004 06:55 PM

^^^ I know I love that song, I sometimes cover it but i kinda made up my own sort of song like that, its kinda slow and is just bass and me singing.

nisakss 09-22-2004 07:00 PM

Is that song originally played on an acoustic guitar or a bass??

FUNKNBASS 09-22-2004 07:03 PM

Bass.

janyeno 09-22-2004 07:05 PM

I like the whole one hot minute album alot .... I actually think its my favorite album by them.... :(

jazzfunkboy 09-22-2004 07:06 PM

Yeah me too, I think that Navarro adds a really good flavour to the group, more rockish.

FUNKNBASS 09-22-2004 07:15 PM

I like Californication the most overall. It hase classics like Around the World, Californication, Scartissue, and Otherside.

ScorpSath 09-22-2004 07:16 PM

I'm here, now the party can get started :p

e p 09-22-2004 07:17 PM

True.

Californication is where I draw the line, though. Everything after=bad.

ScorpSath 09-22-2004 07:17 PM

Yeah Californication is probaly my fav then bssm then By The Way.

FUNKNBASS 09-22-2004 07:21 PM
True.

By The Way was different for one big reson, John Frusciante. In Californication He hadnt played guitar for months due to his heroin addiction so the guitar was very simplistic and was a lot like privious RHCP, but on BTW he has regained much of his abiliteis and learned new tecquniques and even some song writing which is very different from RHCP's other releses.

janyeno 09-22-2004 07:22 PM

Frusciante is the man... Probably my favorite guitarist right now... he plays with such emotion live... it seems like...

e p 09-22-2004 07:24 PM

I won't dis his ability.

I just didn't enjoy the route they took on that album. I understand an artist matures, etc. but it just wasn't for me.

ScorpSath 09-22-2004 07:27 PM

John sings alot on btw too.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 07:47 PM

Are there any RHCP songs with finger-style funk lines?

e p 09-22-2004 07:53 PM

Many.

You just have to look.

Not exactly "funk" either.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 07:55 PM

Yeah. I'm not really sure I like the R0ck-Funk Fusi0n as much as funk itself.

Crapdragoon 09-22-2004 08:16 PM

lol, i got so bored right now... ever put glue on your hands , wait for it to dry, then peel it off? I just did that, out of total boredom. :upset:

ScorpSath 09-22-2004 08:25 PM

^It's cool.

Where do you work?

:amaze: 09-22-2004 09:25 PM

^ Steak n Shake. I'm usually a waiter, that's what I did tonight. It was really slow though, so I only made like 25$ in 6 hours (+2.65 wage = about 6.70$ per hour ... which aint bad for a slow night.)

:amaze:

Potatoe 09-22-2004 09:26 PM

e p 09-22-2004 09:28 PM

^Thanks you for working at that great establishment. In my opinion, it is the best fast food you can get. Amazing burgers.

:amaze: 09-22-2004 09:32 PM

^^ It's ok to get below minimum wage if you make and claim tips ... which I do. BTW< I'm in Michigan

^ It isnt really fast food. Yeah, we have a drive thru, but it's all made to order. W/e...

:amaze:

e p 09-22-2004 09:33 PM

^Whatever.

I still stand by my claim that they have amazing food.

:amaze: 09-22-2004 09:34 PM

^ Werd. And I get 65% off it :thumb:

:amaze:

e p 09-22-2004 09:36 PM
