Apocalyptic Raids 06-14-2005 06:51 AM

You won't find anything, they seem to be deleting anything to do with it.

Arrakakaka 06-14-2005 08:08 AM
I tried to make a topic on the forums and it was deleted.

Then they might be trying to cover up something.

RavenousMetalist87 06-14-2005 11:25 AM

I checked myself, nothing to be found.

Just need to wait or try to do some more research. I'm checking Blabbermouth again, but still no "Sorry for the misleading article."

Even Exodus' forums remain the same...o.o;

CaptainWaits 06-14-2005 06:59 PM
Thanks dude! By the way, is that other forum still running?
YES!! And RCA, we'd really like to see you back :thumb:

There's over 100 members now. And we have a couple of great headers. Lots of great discussion going on. Here's the link to it, and we all really hope to see you back dude :)

NP: Exodus - Fabulous Disaster

RCA 06-14-2005 07:58 PM

Thanks for the link man, I'll definitely be posting more over there.

Yeah, I also checked out the Exodus boards and nothing was being said about the Rick Hunolt deal. I think Blabbermouth is screwing with us.

Great!! Thanks dude :thumb:

Anyone heard any Holy Terror?? I've only heard a couple tracks off of "Terror and Submission". I like what I hear though.

If they were...

:smash: :smash: :smash:

I'll do some research about the issue too.

If you're registered there, I suggest making a thread asking if Rick quit.
I am sorry I had to delete some posts.

Please, wait on the Rick discussions until there is some sort of official comment by Gary or Exodus Staff.

Blabbermouth does not always have their facts straight.
RCA: Are you RCA on the exodus boards?

Yeah, Royce is actually a very very good bassist. That thread is more of a popularity contest, because skill wise, he is the best bassist up there :amaze:

Wow, thanks for the link to the Morbid Saint. This fucking rules!

ThrashMaster27 06-16-2005 02:39 AM

Ron is last in the fecking bassist poll. I can't believe Tom Araya is competing for 3rd place! How? I mean honestly.
Ron is last in the fecking bassist poll. I can't believe Tom Araya is competing for 3rd place! How? I mean honestly.
Yeah he's the best on there... i don't think that guy from RATM is good at all.

RCA 06-16-2005 11:56 AM

I voted Ron. :thumb:
Yeah he's the best on there... i don't think that guy from RATM is good at all.
IMO he's got some cool lines... but talent wise Ron should be winning, or at least competing with Langlois.

CaptainWaits 06-16-2005 07:57 PM

I'm not a fan for Arya at all. I voted for Tim Commerford in that poll (RATM)

MAthiAS 06-16-2005 07:58 PM

Not Royce? Blasphemy!

CaptainWaits 06-16-2005 08:04 PM
Not Royce? Blasphemy!
Nope, not this time :)

MAthiAS 06-16-2005 08:26 PM

But Commerford doesn't need any help...

CaptainWaits 06-16-2005 09:31 PM
But Commerford doesn't need any help...
yeh I see that now. I was one of the first voters on that poll, and even that, I should've known he would've taken that poll. Ah well, I have no problems without Royce

Terrorzone 06-16-2005 09:57 PM

Whats that Kreator like.... i don't think i've heard too much off it.

ThrashMaster27 06-17-2005 05:58 AM

I don't know if it's been discussed, but the Dark Angel reunion doesn't seem to be going too well. When Gene was asked about it...
The inevitable question that you’re probably tired of hearing: What is the status of Dark Angel?

(Laughs) Well, how perceptive you are. It’s moribund. It’s hard to get those guys to even be in the same room together anymore. One of our members has now moved out of L.A. so trying to throw jams together isn’t gonna be the easiest thing in the world. Who knows what the future will hold with that, but I know that if I get some time available and I’m in Los Angeles, Jim Durkin—their original guitarist—and I wanna write something together. I doubt that it will be for Dark Angel but it will be in the vein of fast, aggressive, brutal ****. Jim is still one of the world’s best riff writers and that was one thing that attracted me to Dark Angel when I joined them. “Ah, you guys have got great riffs! People are gonna be stealing your riffs a lot.” And sure enough, it happened! Jim is still killer, so hopefully we get to do something in the future, at least work together because Jim is still one of my best pals. But as for reunions, I’ve fought against reunions. It’s definitely my fault that Dark Angel never reformed because I know that when they were talking about reforming and were like “Let’s see what we can do here,” I said, “Look, if you guys get all the **** together and you do all the work and make everything work, I will fly in and play drums for anything that Dark Angel wants to do if I have the time. We’ll make the time, make the schedules together. You guys have to do the work and put in the time, because I used to have to do everything for Dark Angel. This time, if you guys wanna make it happen, you have to do it.” I love Dark Angel, but that was twelve years ago, man! ****, thirteen years ago we broke up. For me to work, it can’t be a whole lot of work for me to do it. I think that was kinda what doomed it from the start. “You guys do some work!” And then all the fighting started again. Old things started coming up between certain members so it never really got off the ground. I was fine with that because reunions are ****ing stupid. Kudos to Kreator for never breaking up. They were going through a few lean years when thrash metal was dying and death metal was taking over. They did that RENEWAL record and everybody hated that one. I thought it was a killer record. Also Overkill. Through all their line-up changes and everything, they’re still doing it. Good thing for both bands that they never broke up.
Ah well.

The Kreator is just an ep with a few well played live tracks and two covers. Half of it can already be found on the Terrible Certainty Re-Release, but it's a cool collectors item I guess.

Josue 06-17-2005 06:19 AM

My favourites are Metallica - Mop and ...AJFA Megadeth - RiP and Slayer Seasons in the Abyss and Hell Awaits. Does "Diabolus in Musica" still count as thrash? What about Pantera? They have some staple thrashers, Like "****ing Hostile", "Rise", "Domination", "Slaughtered" and what not.

That's all fine and dandy. I don't think you've listened to much Thrash though, which is fine. Most people consider Pantera to be Groove Thrash or Half-Thrash. I'm a big Pantera fan myself, but I'm likely to be one of the only ones here.

Diabolus is Musica is really quite crap though.

FatalEnergy 06-17-2005 06:30 AM

I like the glam Pantera..............Did I just admit that?

The others are fine, but Diabolus in Musica really is crappy

ThrashMaster27 06-17-2005 06:32 AM

Power Metal is a bad *** album. I've heard the releases before that aswell, but they don't stick.

Power Metal is like Phil doing his best Halford impression.

Thats some bad news about Dark Angel. I was really looking forward to then playing again and recording the new album.
