I am openminded and I have sat down and listened to it before now. I hate the elite-ism, Image, Musician-ship and the whole look it's pathetic.

Emo is not about just the whining on about girlfriends and stuff, that's just a stereotype. Listen to one of the MP3s and you'll be suprised. I recommend Jack of All Trades and Paper Thin.

Pop-punk is a sub section of punk, like ska-punk, pop-ska, screamo, whatever else there is so there for it is still technicaly punk. And it has Punk int he genre name, so it is a type of punk.

Pop-punk is punk music but more ear friendly, amd more melodic, not GC etc that people imagine. Look at the Screeching Weasel thread in the pop-punk forum, they're have been playing pop-punk for years, but have just been ignored for all the Blink, sum41 and GC threads.

Some emo is very similar to punk, such as Hot Water Music. But most are too close minded to even give it a listen to

Fair enough that's your opinion. I actually used to be like you I loved Blink etc..... and was highly offended when they were put down so I can comment. Have you ever sat down and listend to Coldplay? I doubt it. They have talent their Musican ship is off a high standard they. Listen to their lyrics young man and then comment on the Happy bit :lol:

Punk is not talented music but you don't complain about that. Emo has such a force-field around it, people just assume it's whiney and about girlfriends, that's not the onlky thing to get emmotional about
