That sentence makes no sense. If Cliff hadn't died, then there wouldn't be a post-Cliff Metallica.

And there should be a new album this year or next.
yer but i mean if he hadnt died, the music they made after the time when he died i might have liked (obviously he wouldnt have died, but if he had survived an carried on im saying)

neal_672 05-05-2005 09:47 AM

Where is this flaming of the JoZ?

ElKapitan 05-05-2005 09:48 AM

Winter closed and possibly deleted it

fatbandit 05-05-2005 09:48 AM

Tough shit. I'm in a bad mood, so i don't much fancy going into how it matters not whether Cliff died or not (other than the world missing a truly great man), and how the post MoP era was actually good.

Spaceman Spiff 05-05-2005 09:48 AM

The roast thread for him.

jaco jr 05-05-2005 09:48 AM
Where is this flaming of the JoZ?
in the now locked thread the roast of the JoZ,
aptly named
although he was more burnt rather than roasted

mister_tee 05-05-2005 09:50 AM

It just cracked me up that someone might go back a month and bump it (by actually saying "bump", and nothing more) for no apparent reason. :amaze:

Yeah, some people are stupid.

neal_672 05-05-2005 09:58 AM

Oh right the JoZ roast, that was fun...

ElKapitan 05-05-2005 10:47 AM

right, didn't want to start a new thread so here goes:
what action height do u recommend for slap? i've only just really decided i should learn and was just wondering if their was an optimum height

cheers :thumb:

neal_672 05-05-2005 10:51 AM

To be honest it makes very little difference, my4 string has high action and my 6 low both work just fine :thumb:

ElKapitan 05-05-2005 10:52 AM

k
just wondering....its a lot harder than it looks....i'm frustrated already :upset:

neal_672 05-05-2005 10:53 AM

You'll get the hang of it believe me :thumb: try something simple at first there are some decent excersises on mxtabs :thumb: popping takes a little getting used to but you'll get it!

Noushi 05-05-2005 10:54 AM

ElKapitan, I find it easier to slap on my 4 string, which has higher action. I like a little bit of stiffness to the strings when I slap.

ElKapitan 05-05-2005 10:57 AM

i suppose it doesn't help that i tune to D standard!?! i'll tune up and check out the lessons
i'm starting off with Higher Ground cos it sounds simple and is a cool song

neal_672 05-05-2005 11:00 AM

Right i'm off for tea, ciao for now guys!

ElKapitan 05-05-2005 11:04 AM

latos neal

Noushi 05-05-2005 11:06 AM

You might just want to work a few basic octave patterns before you start into songs.

G|-----------3-4-7-|
D|--4-5-7-4------ 7|
A|----------1-2-5--|
E|-2-3-5-2-------5-|

Something to get the technique down? That's just a random thing.

ScorpSath 05-05-2005 11:13 AM

The hell....?

neal_672 05-05-2005 12:32 PM

I have snapped 3 strings in 2 months, and i'm muchos pissed off.

WhoDidTheElf 05-05-2005 12:34 PM

Ah....that's quite the feat. New or old ones?

Radiobass81 05-05-2005 12:35 PM

Buy DR Strings :).

neal_672 05-05-2005 12:36 PM

New. Every single time, hence the pissed off-ness, at £5 a string it's not a cheap thing!
