Dude, don't you dare diss The Red Chord. They are not generic and breakdown-y like the rest of those bands. Don't condemn a whole genre either just because the popular bands of it are generic and not very original. Back in the late 80s/early 90s you could have done the same thing about all the death metal bands that were starting up, but no one has a problem with that now, just because there is something new to hate. In the next ten years there will be something new and it will be the same thing all over again. People will be saying, "Hey this is worse than all that old deathcore stuff." The cycle will just repeat, and repeat.
