Look, I'm not saying that this is the law of the land or that if you lose your virginity in high school that you're a person that I'll hate or that you're terrible for it, and I'm not saying that guys who don't have girlfriends in high school all turn out to be great people. This is just my own perspective on myself and the situation and school that I grew up in. Since Shadowsfallen sounds as though he's in a similar situation, I shared that perspective with him.
I don't mean for the things I say to rub you the wrong way, Ray. I like you and you seem like a good person from what's been said here, so if I'm ever sounding like I'm generalizing about people's innate qualities when I go off on the relationship thing, I'm really just talking about my own view and experience when I think it may help someone else understand their situation. I'm sorry if I offended you, though.
No, it's fine. I probably overreacted to it. |
Anyone here into the show "Lost?"
always. |
A good friend of mine is always saying how much he loves that show, but I've seen it a couple times and it nearly put me to sleep. What do people find so great about it?
|
you need to watch it from the first episode or else you won't see whats special. it's just a very inventive, interesting show. and it constantly hooks you. it's like a drug almost. you get riled up waiting for the next episode and yet it always leaves you wanting.
|
Yeah that's probably it. I can't get into shows like that because my schedule rarely allows me to set an hour or so aside to watch a show, and I never remember to tape shows, thus resulting in me missing important episodes. I'll just stick to sit-coms lol.
BTW anyone here watch 2 and a half men? Funniest show ever. |
my fucking solenoid went bad. Now I cant go to school, and im going to have fix it in a goddamn parking lot.
|
Solenoid?
|
Solenoid?
its the connection between the battery and the starter |
Lost is awesome.
I can't wait for the second season to start here. |
Lost is insanely stupid. Just like 24.
*grumpy old man* |
I find myself rarely watching TV regularly anymore.
|
That Lost show is, in fact, worse then most soap operas on TV.
At least you get some closure at the end of Days of Our Lives. I'd also have to say that the plot twists are a little more believeable |
I never watch regularly anymore either.
I will probably start watching Lost and 24 when they come back on though. |
Pfft, Jon.
You love 24. All the "Gotta go, 24 awaits" messages I've had from you. |
Pfft, Jon.

I don't watch Lost or 24 either. Nor do I watch TV much, sometimes I'll watch the Simpsons or some British comedy though.
|
There are a lot of shows I like but I just don't have the patience to sit down and watch them :-(
|

once i got TiVo, i really havent watched normal programming again. My practice routine never gives me a chance to catch up on the recorded programs. My girl watches enough TV for the both of us as it is  |
Half the shows I want to watch I always forget anyway.
I've missed nearly all the new South Park episodes, and the ones I saw were pretty average. |
There are a lot of shows I like but I just don't have the patience to sit down and watch them :-(
Well, I have that too, there are many things that I might wanna watch, but then I'm on mx or wherever and I forget about it and only notice it when it's over.
I've missed nearly all the new South Park episodes, and the ones I saw were pretty average.
The newest Simpsons are also really unfunny. |
i had the newest full season of South Park on my IPOD...
i accidentally cleared it trying to back it up, and I hadn't even seen one of em on there. O well |
The newest Simpsons are also really unfunny.
I agree. They made Homer far too stupid. I still watch it, regardless. The Simpsons will always be something that everyone watches however stale the writing gets. |
I also agree about the new Simpsons.
They suck big time. |
Simpsons need to be put out to pasture before everyone starts to dislike them.
Go out gracefully, I say. And as I say that, I go to bed. |
It's a shame to see that happen to a show really. I agree it's best to just put it out of its misery.
NP: Primal Fear - Colony 13 |
Goodnight.
I still enjoy the old classics, but yeah, they should put it to rest. |
I agree.

And I agree, he's just all stupid now, whereas he used to be normal and then it would build up to him doing something stupid/funny. Now they just left out the building up part and try to make him funny all the time, but it just fails. I still watch it too, when it's on, the yellow is just soothing to the eyes, but it's still a shame, a shame. :upset: |
i stopped watching simpons 6 years ago.
i have seen an episode or 2 sporadically, but nothing in any kind of chronological order. As far as putting the show out to pasture goes, there are far WORSE shows mentioned in the last 2 pages here alone |
Like Joey. Ugh.
|
Like Joey. Ugh.
can't say i've ever like friends either, but YES, exactly |
I hate TV, period. The only thing I ever watch now are movies off my cable channels or on DVD or something like that.
Star Trek: the Next Generation was actually the only TV show I ever followed. Whatever extremes "Trekkies" go to in displaying their fandom, you've got to admit that that was one intelligent, well-made and well-acted show. |
my dad was a huge fan of the BORG mini series on that bitch.
I couldnt really identify with any particular character, and there was no real hot chicks on the show. The ship looks real good, and some of the special effects were real good for the time |

You might compare it to that terrible original series, in which every girl was wrapped in gauze go-go suits. Such a product of the '60s. That all changed when Jeri Ryan's boobs joined "Star Trek: Voyager." Then the Vulcan woman on "Star Trek: Enterprise" was on the cover of Maxim, and the whole series went to hell. |
yea, but that borg woman was hot as hell...
i guarentee 20% of the watching audience of that spin off were only tuning in for both of her lumps, and not for the poor plots |
yea, but that borg woman was hot as hell...
Bit more than 20% i'd say.
yea, i was gonna say 97%, but i wanted to pick an arbitrary number |
Well, I have that too, there are many things that I might wanna watch, but then I'm on mx or wherever and I forget about it and only notice it when it's over.
Heh, well the thing is that I can download any and every major TV series out there in a very short period of time thanks to the existence of a private university DC++ hub...But I still don't watch anything  |
yea, but that borg woman was hot as hell...
i guarentee 20% of the watching audience of that spin off were only tuning in for both of her lumps, and not for the poor plots
haha  Wait a minute, that isn't funny. |
haha
 Wait a minute, that isn't funny.
eh, its the tr00f |
Kurrpt: I agree. Why else would they have put her on the show?
