Good luck with that, and remember, you can always take them again, and again, and again, and yet fail.
hey all.... more stadardixed tests today... yay....
I fought the subject today at my school. Saying my speech against it tomorrow.

JoeDaddio 09-22-2004 03:33 PM

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playing with a can that he was kicking.
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken.
And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost
Somewhere, somehow along the way.

On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughing little girl that he was swinging.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singing.
Then I headed down the street,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing,
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

One of the greatest songs on earth.

Resist the power!!!!!!!

YDload 09-22-2004 03:35 PM
ehhh...no. You wouldn't say " ahí va una perro" you'd say "ahi va una perra". If someone asks you what sex is your dog you'd say "es una perra".

Besides, nouns do change.
In my five years of Spanish, I have never ever heard of nouns for animals changing. You can't change them unless they're occupations, and even then most of them don't change (El policia/La policia). Otherwise Emiliano Zapata's last name would mean "female shoe," but as it is it's just a last name that doesn't mean anything.

I do what I can.

Edit: Doing what I can almost got me kicked out of class... :upset:

I HATE STANDARIZED TESTS! But we are on block shedule. We go to fourth and fifth oneday and sixth and seventh every other day. It's hella cool.

BADASS BASS II. I like my new bridge. Kinda big on the bass but does enhance the tone pretty well. I think my tech put new strings on it to!

Dont know what tests you have but here we have the literacy test which is bull. It basicly requires everyone to have the same though process towards reading and writing in order to pass highschool. Or else your labeled "illiterate" by the government.

Cool :thumb: How much did you pay for the fix??

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 03:53 PM

I got the bridge for $60 flat at www.bestbassgear.com . Then $25 to get it installed. Action is at about 1/12 of an inch now. It sounds good!

how sweet does my (next year) college look?

jazzfunkboy 09-22-2004 04:38 PM

BTW im listening to breaking benjamin's new cd , and i have to say that its really good for this type of music (which i usually stay away from). i bought their first cd around a year ago and i really liked that too.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 04:44 PM

I stay away from emo no matter what. I used to be an emokid but I now am an emoh8ah! lol. I don't like the high pitch voices. They all sound like women. I don't mean to offend any emo singers.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 04:45 PM

College. I have convenced my band that we are all gunna go to Berkley together. lol.

i agree but breaking benjamin isnt emo. its like really heavy pop-rock-metal with jazzy influences.

moxshyfter 09-22-2004 05:25 PM

Nisa,
Entiendo la regla que me has explicado, pero no se cada situacion en que se debe cambiar las letras.
Por ejemplo, aunque soy un hombre, todavia hay unA personA, verdad?

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 09-22-2004 05:26 PM

Man, i am soooooooo tired, 4 parties, 11+ shots, 2 hours of sleep, walking a mile from my lake side dorm to campus, registration for classes, stupid meetings, and one girl later. I am soooo tired.

JoeDaddio 09-22-2004 05:30 PM

See that man? College is paying off already!

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 09-22-2004 05:30 PM

Class hasnt even started yet, and already i have hit the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. :p

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 09-22-2004 05:32 PM

****, i am too **** tired, i got to go eat dinner, and then sleep in the lounge, until my roomate is done with his girlfriend.

moxshyfter 09-22-2004 05:54 PM

You posted like 30 seconds ago...aren't they done yet?
Nisa,

:upset:

janyeno 09-22-2004 06:34 PM

I need to memorize key signatures :( I thought I could get away with not knowing them, and just thinking it out in my head... but they've been messing with it every day so far in my music theory class.... :(

I wish i spoke spanish... spanish gets all the girls...

nisakss 09-22-2004 06:35 PM

^^^Seriously???

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 06:35 PM

Do you know the formula for finding key sig?

nisakss 09-22-2004 06:36 PM

I personally do it by listening to the song, and whenever it feels like it got home, or it rested somewhere, that's the song's key.

janyeno 09-22-2004 06:37 PM

Isn't it like up 3 half steps down 3 half steps?

I've heard about them... but they left my brain already....

by one of them I meant sharp/flat or do i mean G clef or F clef... dude im so confused...

and another thing... I can really only read F clef fluently... It takes a few seconds longer on G :(

nisakss 09-22-2004 06:39 PM

Another trick is to try to find a note that can be sustained through the song, and that usually is the fifth. Then all you have to do is find the first for that note.

janyeno 09-22-2004 06:40 PM

yeah thats what I normally do at home, so much easier this way... but I have no bass with me at class :(

nisakss 09-22-2004 06:41 PM

do it with your voice.

GeezerRULEZ 09-22-2004 06:43 PM

Thanx. Improv is my major goal. I wanna get good at it!

janyeno 09-22-2004 06:44 PM
do it with your voice.
Yeah I suck at sight singing and all that jazz too :(

I can't stand my voice...
