i like a few of their songs, just don't like the unnecessary drones and pad noises that go on for 8 years before the actual song starts. plus they are terrible live. "boo hoo, not many people on this tour seem interested in us and it makes me mad".

Holy shit you have to be trolling. PT is fucking amazing live. I saw them in May and it was the best show I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of really good bands play live.

They do some ambient sequences but none of them are "overly long" and absolutely none of them can be considered "white noise". PT is "supporting" C&C on this tour, there's an unwritten rule that support bands aren't supposed to out do the headliners, so they probably didn't put on their typical caliber of show. And tbh it sounds like the crowd at that show just sucked, if I were them I wouldn't enjoy playing to a shitty crowd either.

I imagine PT live are a bit like Tool live.

When a dude in a wheelchair rocks harder than you (Andrew WK) or when a band full of senior citizens rocks harder than you (The Rolling Stones) it's time to re-evaluate your live show. Plus, chastising your audience after two songs is just sad.

Probably one of two reasons:

1. She is secretly tired of one night stands

You don't have to do the aforementioned to have good stage presence. The entire band looked like they hated playing live shows and that they were too good to be there.
