You live in Scotland, though :p

In America, it's very different. I know that now.

That's a definite no-go for me.
I may have been joking...
I don't know though.:p

Personally I'm glad chicks can't drink very much (in general). Not only are the drunk and easier to hook up with, but that also leaves more alcohol for me.
Can anybody give the safety of Limewire to me? Will it blow up my computer with viruses? (I use a Mac).
It resulted in my computer getting a trojan which led to my computer being reformated. The same thing just happened to my mum's laptop after my sister put Limewire on it; so yeah I personally don't recommend it. BitTorrent ftw.

Aplologies for the lateness.

Jev 01-03-2006 04:12 PM

I can't get Limewire off my computer.

In all seriousness, I'm not one to take advantage of the drunk girl at a party. But I am glad that they don't have to drink much of my beer to get drunk.

BitTorrent sucks for music though. Unless it's uber-new or uber-popular, you'll probably have hard time finding it.

Music = DC++ and Soulseek.

That's soooo untrue.

Most of the girls in my school drink like there was no tomorrow, and they drink only real stuff. Like Vodka. And Whisky.

They make me feel like a toddler. :upset:

Anyhow, it's not cool if it's their first time, because if they drink too much they get sad and start crying. And that's NOT cool at all.

Lunch 01-03-2006 04:22 PM

It's true around here. Even the "experienced" girls can't usually drink that much and often end up getting really wasted.

Tyler 01-03-2006 04:28 PM

Some of the broads I know can out drink some of the bros I know, but usually it isn't like that.

Man those ads are fucking annoying

Steerpike 01-03-2006 04:30 PM

What I wonder is why people who can't hold their alcohol insist on constantly getting smashed. I fucking hate dealing with people when they're drunk, so I generally avoid it.

Lord Abortion 01-03-2006 04:32 PM

I was Moronically drunk a couple of weeks ago with alot of girls who all seemed perfectly sober and collected.
It was wierd. This girl was drinking quite a bit of Vodka and was fine...My cider skills are lacking, it seems.

They don't know their limits, so they never know that they can't hold it.

I would think after the fourth hangover they would make the connection and start cutting back.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-03-2006 04:48 PM

All this talk of getting drunk reminded me of this commercial I heard on the radio the other day.

It was about how as a drunk driver you have rights and how drunk driving is not illegal and how you can get out of DUI's and such and all other negative things related to drunk driving.

"Drinking and driving is not illegal. But if you get caught, they will arrest you. Know your rights!"
I would think after the fourth hangover they would make the connection and start cutting back.
I would think more along the lines of spending the night throwing up in the bathroom would make them cut back.
Drunk driving
What I don't understand is why it's illegal for men to drive drunk but it's legal for women to drive.

/sexist low-blow.

True. Waking up in pools of various things should be a clue.

Lord Abortion 01-03-2006 05:41 PM

Yeah, 'twas a good night.

I might not be a very big guy, but I know how to handle alcohol!

I was going out with my girlfriend, her brother and my little brother to see Saw II (out later than elsewhere in the world for some reason) but it was sold out, so we watched King Kong. Good, but not amazing, people exaggerated its greatness.

Illmatic 01-03-2006 06:18 PM
so we watched King Kong. Good, but not amazing, people exaggerated its greatness.
I looked up the remake of King Kong on IMDB and apparently it's over three hours long! Three hours! Hasn't Peter Jackson ever heard of a freaking editor? I sat through one of the Lord of the Rings movies, no way in hell am I going to watch another three-hour, drawn-out, boring, "epic" directed by that clown.

But as Dennis Miller would say, "That's just my opinion"

Steerpike 01-03-2006 06:26 PM

Well, Sergio Leone is regarded as a great director, and his most famous film was over 4 hours.

Depends on what you're willing to sit through.

Illmatic 01-03-2006 06:30 PM

I have a strict rule that no movie/sporting event/anything you have to sit and watch should last over two and a half hours unless it's mind-blowingly fantastic.

NP: Dawn Penn - Here Comes the Sun

American.

Steerpike 01-03-2006 06:39 PM
American.
The sad truth is that ain't too far. Apparently, Hollywood wants to find ways to make movies a little shorter because they think audiences are too impatient to sit through 90 minutes anymore.

Illmatic 01-03-2006 06:41 PM
American.
It takes something really good, like The Godfather, or a 15-inning baseball playoff game, to exceed two and a half hours and still be palatable. You gotta draw the line somewhere.

magicbus 01-03-2006 06:44 PM

I thought King Kong went by faster than LOTR, I'd still suggest seeing it.
