University of Maine (my home state) at Farmington. (my home town) I know going to college in your home town is kinda pathetic, but UMF is one of the best schools in the US for teachers to go to, and it's only $2,500 per semester, so I couldn't devise a good enough argument for not going here.
omg I never knew going to university was so expensive in US. Here in Belgium inscription fee is €500 for a year...
Do poor people have any chance to go to university?
Cool, your own stuff or Covers?
own stuff.

We record and send in demos to try and get on about 50-60 will enter...then if we get thru they have an audition night 15-20 acts..then if u get thru u get to go to a pro studio and record a pro cd 8-14 acts

So its gota be all originals, but you can covered but uve gota pay royalites.

Alma 05-04-2005 06:55 AM

supercalifragilistic 05-04-2005 07:14 AM

hey all

does anyone know how much it would cost to get a bass in hardcase shipped from the US to Europe?

ElKapitan 05-04-2005 07:17 AM

depends what company u use i guess
check out UPS and others for quotes
look on their websites and see if they've got standard prices
what u want shipping?

Thunder Fingers 05-04-2005 07:17 AM

around 100 dollars me belive.. i think that is what i have payed earlier...

meh, i think 150 was what i payed for My geddy.. that was without a hardcase though. they add a little more weight...

ElKapitan 05-04-2005 07:21 AM

i just finished soldering and putting my guitar back together after almost a year after i took it apart!

Thunder Fingers 05-04-2005 07:24 AM

i think thats gonna be the first thing i do when i get the guitar :p take it all apart and put it togheter again(i dunno why, i just get the feeling that things get better when i do it that way :p) i did it to my old bass when i sold it, and i thought it was much better after wards :p

a Winter's Custom 6-string

but not until August
When JP gets back from his tour I'll just ask him what the best shipping method would be (if he accepts my request, off course)

ur a lucky man :thumb:

supercalifragilistic 05-04-2005 07:39 AM
ur a lucky man :thumb:
I know !!! :thumb:
fact is that getting a custom bass made and shipped is much cheaper than buying a high-end bass, especially in Europe. I'd pay more for an American Fender 4 then I'd pay to JP for a 6er.

anyway, since JP is on tour for another 3 months I guess I won't have it untill september or something like that...

ElKapitan 05-04-2005 07:43 AM

but the wait will be worth it.
have u got any pics or drawings of what it'll look like?

supercalifragilistic 05-04-2005 07:47 AM
but the wait will be worth it.

nah not yet. as I said I'm not even sure JP will accept it (though I don't know if he ever refuses an offer). It would be a neck-thru six-string with 2 Bartolini MK1 PuPs in a tung oil gloss finish. otherwise pretty standard (to keep the price down) http://www.angelfire.com/music5/jpwinters/color_chart.htm

ElKapitan 05-04-2005 07:51 AM

sounds nice!
i only wish i could afford a half decent bass let alone a custom. i blew all my bass savings on a guitar.....i want a new bass now :upset:

lol a few months ago I also wanted to buy a guitar but fortunately I could hold myself. Now I'm 100% back on bass.

supercalifragilistic 05-04-2005 07:57 AM
