I've only ever heard one Opeth song I think.
My mate said it was one of their newer songs, and it was really mellow. So I said "I always thought Opeth were a heavy band", and he just replied with "omg dey r!!1! \m/ ROAAAAAAAR!".

Those crazy metal head teenagers who listen to every single band on Roadrunner Records.

Hmm, it might have been something off Damnation, that's their acoustic album, more or less. Also my favorite though. Their Metal is ok, but nothing too spectacular, a bit overrated tbh.

Who else is on Roadrunner, I don't even pay attention?

5000 posts is so last year...

I don't know if Opeth are on Roadrunner, but my friend obsesses with every band on Roadrunner, which is mainly nu-metal, and the worst sort of it.
Slipknot, Stone Sour, Korn, Murderdolls and all of those sort of bands.

Sooo 2004 you mean :thumb:

ChodaBoy 01-31-2006 06:08 PM

Is it just me, or does the intro to Simple Plan's new song sound extremely similar to Smashing Pumpkins - Today?

They're still on my "downloaded but have not yet listened to" list :-\

Pazz 01-31-2006 06:38 PM

I have some stuff by them. I like them.

I was just looking at the Warped tour website and getting all excited for the concert, then I realized that it was from last year. They need to update it again.

Permanent Solution 01-31-2006 06:42 PM

lmao

But last year's lineup wasn't as good as this years is already anyways :-\
Where can I find the line-up?
On the site in the news section. But I'll give you the list for convenience:
Rise Against
Motion City Soundtrack
Thursday
From First To Last
NOFX
Anti-Flag
Underoath
Against Me!
Bouncing Souls
Armor For Sleep
Aiden
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Gatsby's American Dream

If that isn't spoogalicious I don't know what is.

Gav: Well Strike Anywhere is mid-CD...and I really love SA. I will listen to them afterwards though. But yes I am Vince...geez...aren't I e-popular enough yet? :(

I like all the bolded bands. Which is nice. I hope I can go.

bottlerocket 01-31-2006 06:51 PM

Eh, I don't like Warped Tour now...barely any of the music I listen to is on it but oh well. It was way better when I was younger and into that stuff.

-Gav

Permanent Solution 01-31-2006 06:52 PM

Not NOFX? You loser

And I'd like to see Joan Jett for the one song lol. It'll be the coolest sing-along ever.

Gav: Last year it was probably more to your liking no? I think I only saw hardcore bands there last year heh.

Pazz 01-31-2006 06:54 PM

I used to listen to them. I got a new computer so I didn't bother getting any of their stuff again. I may sometime soon though.

bottlerocket 01-31-2006 06:55 PM

^ Last year's was decent...this year was a bit worse, though...eh, oh well. It happens when you get into an obscure genre of music not many people like.

NOFX is alright. I listen to them from time to time but not enough to call myself a fan. "Dinosaurs Will Die" is a sick song, though.
