Angmar 11-03-2010 12:20 AM
lol, how did it come out that she was against masturbation
Angmar 11-03-2010 12:23 AM

fapping > sex

oh my god

more facepalm than a thousand bulldog posts

adb 11-03-2010 12:25 AM

steve, you think you would learn something from your econ class!!!

substitutes are not always superior, they can be easier to find or cheaper

masturbation is a perfect example. It's cheaper than vag. Fact.

Angmar 11-03-2010 12:28 AM

Kinda sad that I know what you're talking about.

larry david 11-03-2010 12:28 AM

i was gonna say implying rape isn't free, but wouldn't the threat of being discovered by the police be an opportunity cost

adb 11-03-2010 12:30 AM

some girl got raped at my school last week

its what happens when you park on the street

parking lots cost money for a reason: they have security
Kinda sad that I know what you're talking about.
just imagine how much you would relate to me if you were also a business major!!

larry david 11-03-2010 12:31 AM

economics class was kinda fun, took it in high school

then again we had an awesome teacher

peni1s_wigglez 11-03-2010 12:31 AM

lol securty dosent do anything i could get hired as a secuirty gaurd if i took a week course

adb 11-03-2010 12:33 AM

idk tronn, its p solid at my school and scares off potential crime tbh

just a car driving around scares them off

peni1s_wigglez 11-03-2010 12:37 AM

they just regular ppl exept they wannabee cops, cant make it as a cop

cant make it as a donut eating asshole

adb 11-03-2010 12:38 AM

theyre just reg students at my school. I could become security if I applied, most of the job is ticketing cars w/o parking permits

Anglachel 11-03-2010 12:39 AM

do campus cops have guns on them in the states

peni1s_wigglez 11-03-2010 12:39 AM

edit: goddamit anglachel gtfo

adb 11-03-2010 12:42 AM

Anglachel 11-03-2010 12:44 AM

edit: wait you're saying parking services scares away criminals

peni1s_wigglez 11-03-2010 12:44 AM

adb 11-03-2010 12:45 AM

parking services acts as a type of security

cops sometimes hang out in their cars in the lots, depends

Anglachel 11-03-2010 12:47 AM

my point is business is the most practical major, I will fight everyone on this
no it's not business degrees don't do shit

adb 11-03-2010 12:54 AM
no it's not business degrees don't do shit
luc, I can tell now why you're a film major. You are horrible at arguing.

That has nothing to do with my argument

peni1s_wigglez 11-03-2010 12:54 AM

luc is an actor

whiteminority 11-03-2010 01:20 AM

define practical.

adb 11-03-2010 01:25 AM

I can apply it to everyday situations and use it to support various arguments.
luc, I can tell now why you're a film major. You are horrible at arguing.
how in gods name is there ANY correlation there you are becoming stupider by the post

your argument is that business degrees are the most practical, I said they're NOT because having a business degree does NOT automatically mean you have a JOB after school.

whiteminority 11-03-2010 01:33 AM

that's a social science skew on practicality, but alright i can live with that.

i'm currently a political science major with a pre-law concentration, working on transferring to another university next fall to major in international relations. where do you rank either of those majors on your practicality scale?

using his definition of practical in this argument, having a job or not after school isn't considered.

i said it is the most practical to learn information, not the most practical to get a job. Learn to read.

pretty high. don't know too much about political sci or law but they deal with people so pretty practical?

business has a little to do w/ law and shit like that it basically goes over more width but not so much depth

whiteminority 11-03-2010 01:41 AM

political science is the study of people in political situations, which covers a broad spectrum of situations. i'm switching to IR so i can learn negotiation skills with governmental entities, which i think in the long run would be more beneficial to getting into law school then just poli sci. i wish they offered it at the school i go to now, since the business school here is actually really good, and i could double major in IR and International Business. not really caring about the practicality of it by your definition, but the practicality of making big monies.

adb 11-03-2010 01:46 AM

i was waiting for someone to bring money into the picture. When it comes down to it money reigns. People who say it can't buy happiness are faggots and probably have mental problems. For normal people money can open doors to high order needs, even lower order ones (ahem sex ahem)

For me I really don't care as long as I make enough to support myself and maybe a girl. I don't plan on letting any shallow cunt in my life to begin with so money shouldn't be too much of an issue.

originally you just said "practical"

which logically implies a job which is kind of a majorly practical thing

but since you're going to be living with your parents for the next 20 years i guess you don't care as long as you have enough money to rent motel rooms to fuck girls in

whiteminority 11-03-2010 01:48 AM

i mean if i was still in high school i probably would of said that i didn't care about the money, but after living on my own the majority of this year, and having paid all my own bills for the past couple years, fuck that i'm all about the benjamins. i like nice things.

publicastration 11-03-2010 01:51 AM

I definitely care about money

there's decent money to be made in film as an editor/cinematographer etc

you're implying people go to college to get a better job

what if I just want to go to college to learn?

most go to get a better job and get money because it will make them happy

but it is still a possible to go just for knowledge because it will...drumroll...make them happy
i like nice things.
and this is where marketing comes into play. People are never fully satisfied.

actually I think its great to go to college to learn

I just assumed you cared about making money since you're all "logical" and "practical"

my bad
and this is where marketing comes into play. People are never fully satisfied.
naw I'm not materialistic at all

I mainly just want money for the security of not having to worry as much about budgeting and so I can buy lots of drugs

whiteminority 11-03-2010 01:56 AM

everyone is materialistic to an extent. to say otherwise is a masturbatory effort of the ego.
I definitely care about money

my friend is doing this, but from what i understand it is hyper-competitive.

I did say money reigns. I just don't know how much I will make because having connections is a big part in getting jobs nowadays. Fuckin networking. I'll probably be overqualified for the job I get but I won't care because I dont need a lot of money.

security is a lower order need, but yeah anyway bottom line is I've learned a lot and it's practical information. It can lead to getting a better job because I have learned about communication techniques and shit like that.
