Its gotta be fake, DT DONT MAKE MISTAKES!!
But just to be sure i'm not going to listen to it. |
I'm going to spend my afternoon World Tourbulenceing.
Ahh, good times, the version of Surrounded is slightly less good than the LATM version, but James' voice is still damn beautiful. |
yesterday my brother was playing a Muse song and parts of it sounded a lot like Never Enough through the wall in my room. then i listened to Never Enough and realised Portnoy plays some good stuff on there.
|
Never Enough sounds a lot like Stockholm Syndrome.
|
I live in Centereach, which is right next to Ronkonkoma/Smithtown/Port Jeff/etc. I live about 10 minutes from the Smithaven Mall.:thumb:
Thats cool. I live in Commack. I usually drive my sister and her friends up to the mall about every weekend. I probably walked right past you once. |
Never Enough sounds a lot like Stockholm Syndrome.
haha yah, Mike Portnoy even said right after the release of Octavarium that Absolution is his favourite album. :p |

You should come to Burlington Coat Factory in Lake Grove, middle country road. I work there, haha.:thumb: |
How can James put so much damn emotion in his voice man?
*cries to Never Enough* |
Never Enough sounds a lot like Stockholm Syndrome.
thats the one. Octavarium is growing on me again. |
JP's Suspended Animation is really addictive. Very spacey-sci-fi feel throughout alot of it. I can just see this being a very cool video game soundtrack.
NP: JP - Tunnel Vision |
He's good at videogame soundtracks.
|

NP: JP - Tunnel Vision
i love that song. especially the intro w/ the speaker panning :] i gotta hear this train wreck :] aiite guys...im off to korea for a month without my guitar :( peace. |
Aw dude that's gunna suck. Gunna have to practice a fair bit to get back up to the level you're at now. Month without practicing usually finds me playing **** for a while.
|
I've just been learning the opening bass to 'scarred' it sounds so nice and jazzy but unfortunatly i cant quite replicate the sound for i am lacking a six string:(
/has six string /can play Scarred intro Mwahaha |
im hoping i can rent a guitar or something for the next month...
JP's solo in scarred is ace. i was updating my iPOd b4 my trip...(im in korea now), and i put every DT song i had, which amounted to 25% of my ipod nano. unfortunately...AWAKE ISNT ON THERE WTF?!?!?! how am i gonna live an entire MONTH without hearing the mirror/lie or voices? |
how am i gonna live an entire MONTH without hearing the mirror/lie or voices?
In other news, I'm getting my mate to learn Honor Thy Father so we can pimp it. Should be awesome. He learns songs so fast. |
erotomania's alright :smoke: i prefer other instrumentals, overture 1928 being my favorite.
honor thy father...? dude, choose a better song to play :] i dont think my grandparents would like it if i brought home an elec. with an amp, so ill see if i can rent out a cheap acoustic...work on my acoustic skills a bit. |

It was unlike anything I ever heard before. I remember I listened to the ending of that song over and over again.:thumb: Hells Kitchen and Erotomania are my favorite DT instrumentals. I hope theres another true instrumental on the next album.:thumb: EDIT-Holy crap, how did I forget Dance of Eternity. That is my favorite instrumental. |
I like the ones on SFAM the best
|
Woo I just got SFNY. It's fantastic!
|
It's got some good material on it but I don't like the way it's presented (Split screens, story etc.)
|
Woo I just got SFNY. It's fantastic!
Yeah its amazing. It gets better everytime you listen to it. You notice little things along the way.:thumb: |
erotomania....the solo in it sounds like a classical piece i can't quite put my finger on...
|
got Live Scenes from new york DVD last week :amaze:
productions a bit weird but damn good stuff. |
Yeah, I have the CD&DVD for that and Budokan...they're fantastic
|
Personally I like Budokan better, but that is probably because I saw that before LSfNY.
|
to hear all of SFAM played live and then all of ACOS would have blown me away. i hope they play loadsa songs from sfam when i see them.
also: got my SFAM t-shirt today :) |
I played like a small show last night, it was awesome cus we played an instrumedley and started on scarred, it sounded so damn sweet through big amps nice and loud:D
|
Personally I like Budokan better, but that is probably because I saw that before LSfNY.
Nah i think it is better, i saw it before lsfny and i still prefer it. budokan version of beyond this life > lsfny version plus they do a better variety of songs on budokan |
Nah i think it is better, i saw it before lsfny and i still prefer it.
budokan version of beyond this life > lsfny version plus they do a better variety of songs on budokan
That's definitely true, the variety is so much better on Budokan. I watched the whole DVD again the other week, and damn, it's good! |
After watching Budokan too much, I now prefer LSFNY.
|
I have LSFNY, Budokon, SFaM and When Dream and Day Reunite, Once in a Livetime and Live at the Marquis. Im going to get Scores when it comes out (hopefully my poster will be on it).
I didnt realize I had all the DT DVD's   NP: DT - A fortune in Lies |
I've just finished watching the double DVD, now I get to watch it again with the commentary :)
Its annoying there's no commentary on the Budokan one, or any for Score though. :( |
Any of you guys seen Mike's Liquid Drum Theater video where he shows you how to play, and count out the Dance of Eternity??
Fukkin' insane!! |
Is it just me or have you found that the DT dvd's tend to be very expensive most places?:(
Although i dont care anymore cus i have em all and got em quite cheap as well. |
Pretty much everything DT is expensive round here, as I've mentioned before.
