knock yourself dead BRO

Jaundice 04-10-2010 05:27 PM

i would say that no self-respecting band would ever come within a hundred miles of Louisiana

but then Anthony will probably crash through the ceiling trying to prove me wrong by posting tour dates for a bunch of really shitty sludge bands no one cares about

DC rules for shows.

Morumbar 04-10-2010 05:47 PM

I don't get the sudden dubstep hype.

Since about a year ago almost all my friends suddenly started to think metal is for kids and dubstep is "the real ****".
Honestly, it's one of the most boring music genres I've come across in my life. I'd almost wish there were less dubstep gigs here.

Jaundice 04-10-2010 05:49 PM

Yeah i'm not touching the whole dubstep thing. It sounds like the worst idea for a genre ever.

shortz 04-10-2010 05:50 PM

What the hell is "dubstep"? (pardon my ignorance)

And afternoon fellas :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eyiY3KDHBk
That sounds absolutely retarded.

I'm with Jaundice though, I figured it was a sub-genre of Reggae or something.

illmitch 04-10-2010 06:01 PM

lol "cookie monsta" has a song called "ginger pubes"

Aakon_Keetreh 04-10-2010 06:01 PM

there are alot of carribean people involved with it but theyre usually involved in a grime/dubstep mix

Aakon_Keetreh 04-10-2010 06:02 PM

it was first created in bristol

Jaundice 04-10-2010 06:02 PM

I was heavily under the impression it was this gimicky reggae-themed techno

but apparently the word dub has two distinctly different musical definitions

illmitch 04-10-2010 06:03 PM

i mean i can hear the dub influence in it

shortz 04-10-2010 06:06 PM

Really? Hmm, that's interesting to know.
but apparently the word dub has two distinctly different musical definitions
Yeah, I mean there's a sub-section (if you want to call it that) of Reggae called Dub-poetry...

Aakon_Keetreh 04-10-2010 06:08 PM
