no the new fat guy who looks like meatloaf e.g. the angle and the gambler video
that "new" fat guy got changed out in 99 when Bruce and Adrian Smith Returned to Maiden... Bruce have been on the last 2 albums...

Blaze Baley now plays with B L A Z E, and there he apparently sing much better than what he did in Maiden... (though i quite like The X factor...)

neal_672 05-02-2005 01:32 PM
what the hell is "I want to see Incubus with Mr. Katunich though"
I want to see them play with Alex Katunich on bass, not ben Kenney (though I'd still see that gladly). And yes, for those of you who think I'm talking crap, that's Dirk's real name...

black_star 05-02-2005 01:57 PM

could somebody tell me who is Mr. Katunich

bottlerocket 05-02-2005 01:58 PM

^ No.

:)

...I have no idea what you're talking about, to be honest.

black_star 05-02-2005 02:29 PM

PaulSimonon 05-02-2005 02:36 PM

H e y a l l

fatbandit 05-02-2005 02:37 PM

Ben is cool, but he's not Alex. I'm not dissing Ben, he's a great player. Only problem is... He isn't Alex!

I dunno, I guess Alex was at the heart of Incubus to me.

bottlerocket 05-02-2005 02:41 PM

I'm bored...:upset:.

We ought to entertain each other Gav.

Radiobass81 05-02-2005 02:44 PM

Ben is cool. He doesn't try to showoff as much as Dirk. Dirk still rocks, tho.

bottlerocket 05-02-2005 02:46 PM

^ Yeah we should, Paul...:naughty:.

Radio: Both are great bassists. I think Ben grooves more whereas Dirk tried to make the lines more fun to play (funner to play? I never did get that...:p).

;)

PaulSimonon 05-02-2005 03:00 PM

No! Fool!

Continues singing Mr. Zimmerman's first album, which is mostly covers.

bottlerocket 05-02-2005 03:05 PM

I tried out for a local band...a local hardcore band. :upset:

I need a band, and the band I'm in now is doing JACK (the guitarists are terrible, the drummer won't stop showing off, the singer can't sing, etc.).

I blew every other bassist out of the water. Five tried out, and 4/5 of them used Fender MIM Ps. I was the only one with a non-Fender bass. :p

I'm expecting a call tonight to let me know I'm in.

I plan on being the first hardcore bassist to have actual lines and runs and stuff...maybe even a bass solo or two. :p

PaulSimonon 05-02-2005 03:07 PM

I have a P! Does that mean I'd be a good hardcore player?

Radiobass81 05-02-2005 03:11 PM

I want a P. Does that mean I'm a poser :upset:?

DavetheGrumpy 05-02-2005 03:11 PM

Yay! "Ian Brown" is back. Proclaiming Oasis as the best band in existence. Oh, he's so crap he's funny.

PaulSimonon 05-02-2005 03:13 PM

You are Jorge. I'm the real deal.

Spaceman Spiff 05-02-2005 03:14 PM

Cool, Gav.

On Friday I was over at my friend's house, and another friend was there too. He has a band with this drummer (not sure if they've had a bassist before or not) and they have already recorded a 12 song album. I haven't met the drummer, but my friend, who is the guitarist and singer, told me that if I wanted to then I could join and be the bassist.

Basically, told me that within a year, there would probably be another album recorded and a few live shows, and after hearing some of the songs, I liked it too much and couldn't say no.
