Haha, wtf!?

What do you think I should say?
I think you should say "Haha omg yoo guyz are ghey lolz roflwafflebbq".

So today, I didn't go to college... Instead, I mailed a demo track of my playing to various studios around town. I spent alot of time hanging about in Blast Studios in the Ouseburn Valley. Really nice studio, and nice guys! I seem to have made a really good impression! :)

Here's the studio:

And here is the other studio I sent my demo to, though I haven't been there yet:
I got a message like that about two weeks back from some Pop/Rock band from Scotland. It was pretty cool, but I had to turn them down because of college (it was only an audition invitation anyway). They're fairly big aswell, pretty cool.

Whilst MX was down, I managed to get the groove from the last 4 minutes of Deliverence down. I was totally stoked.
Very very sick groove there. I've been trying and very much failing, to try and play it as if you had one china to your left and one to your right, and your hands only stick to their own side, no crossing over. Then you're trying to do 'L R L R' etc on the chinas, while throwing in the snare correctly. Owww.

I think he has 2 mini chinas to his right and he plays eighths alternating.

maniac0796 01-31-2007 12:14 PM

Yay, MX is back.

Annoying the people on PDF was fun though...

Josiah 01-31-2007 12:19 PM

Cool lookin studio. Don't like the gaint glass doors on the drum room though, not the smartest acoustic move there...

I'm on the list with a few local studios BB. Dunno how it works there in UK. The people who rent the studio out are the ones that would hire you, the studio is like the headhunter/middle man. Something comes up and the artist/group needs a drummer. Then they go to their list...

The only time I've ever been directly employed by a recording faccility was when it was a actual company that had the studio. Wich was a jingle house.

trysthedrummer 01-31-2007 12:45 PM

I meant how much is all the gear.

Undisco Kidd 01-31-2007 02:08 PM

What exactly is broken 8th note jazz drumming?
I think he has 2 mini chinas to his right and he plays eighths alternating.
I think on one part he alternates from a crash to a 20" HHX China, and on another, from that 20" to a mini. Makes it sooo much harder.

Ya haha that's about the most retarded name for a jazz drumming class I've heard... haha next semester is 16th note jazz!!

HAha that's pretty cool man. I know just how ya feel.

Country Drumming? Bluh.

Swap that out for some D&B or Funk.

Berk 01-31-2007 04:54 PM

Sup noobs.

Retarded Chipple 01-31-2007 04:56 PM

I'd say: right click>Save Image As. Resize it in paint or something (recommend you save it as a .jpeg file) so that it meets the MX avatar requirements...then upload it...?
