Wow after listening to Nightmares for ages seeing it as the superior archies album I gave Ruin a play today start to finish (ended up playin the bugger atleast 3 times all the way) and I like it morte than Nightmares now.

Am also liking the new Johnny Truant stuff cant wait for there new album :D

I still think Nightmare is superior, and I'm guessing you like Johhny Truants new song because its similar to Ruin. I still like the new song but not as much as their older stuff

Johnny Truant's older stuff was so much more unique. New song's alright though. I'm starting to dig Nightmares more, the music is just so much less stale. But the direction they went in with the Dead Swans split and how good Ruin was make me want more still. Plus, Sam's got sum pipes.

I think the drumming and vocals are a lot better on Ruin that Nightmares but I prefer the guitar work on Nightmares.

But yeah I think the new JT stuff is on par with the old stuff like the bloodening.

the production on matt's vocals was weird, but hearing the demos with him (actual architects demos, not faithealer demos) and seeing some live stuff of him, plus the maida veil bootleg, and his new band, id say hes just as solid of a vocalist.
