Nah I've not really looked at programmable ones, I'm just going to get a Radial JDI, possibly a J48.

I always just use the DI from my preamp. Works fine for me.

So the output of my bass is so hot that it clips the signal going to the desk. Lawl.

I never noticed because I run it through overdrive pretty much all the time, but we were doing some recording and it was so so apparent. Gonna get on the phone to Jon and get some resistor or something like that put in. I don't understand electrical stuff...

It totally rapes the signal coming out of my Tonehammer too, it comes out like a real compressed mild fuzz.

I actually think I'd like him to gut the insides and just make it passive. Passive-ify it? Passify? Pacify? olol I never change the tone settings on it, I'd be happy to just lose the tone knob altogether. But then I have an empty space where a knob is?

Unless I keep it as a DFA knob.

Turn your volume down a little bit and lower your pickups - they're probably just too close to the strings.

You can also use less boosting on your preamp.

Yeah, I'm excited for it. I really like recording, even though it can take a long time for a simple 5-minute song.

Recording vocals will be interesting - I've never done it before, so I have no idea how good my vocal control is. Guess we'll find out!

It's always been H1N1. It's just the technical name for that particular variant of the Influenza A virus, just like the common flu for the past 40+ years is H3N2.

It's all relative to the protiens on the surface of the virus, specifically hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N).

Why a country would feel the need to refer to it in technical terms to the layman baffles me anyways.
