Cheap, but funny :)
Does anyone know of a good site where I can get a live recording of Creeping Death at Woodstock 99? I've looked at a few sites and they won't work when I tried to download. The site mentioned by hilfenburger didn't have it (top of the page). I would seriously appreciate your help if anyone can. :)
Anyone? |
Anyone?
Isnt there like a dvd for that? |
it wasnt that funny, rather gay, who did you copy that off no leaf clover? and xtreme, you need to get out more, people have been saying that pathectic little line for years.
yea, i did, because my comp was ****ed up. it wouldn't let me quote anyone. and if you're calling me gay, i have to disagree with you. did you know that calling people gay is just a way of hiding your own homosexuality? you're probably so deep in the closet that you're finding christmas presents. ignorant jackass. |
If you've ever seen the black album DVD you'll see that everything in Metallica that changed for the black album onwards was due to James, Kirk, Jason and Lars choices - Bob only pushed them to their limits and helped them acheive what they wanted in their ideas.
I agree with you...I have the DVD and well I thought that he was mostly responsible for the Black Album being as big as it is and gettin Metallica to that point because that is when he came into the pic with Metallica....when they were about to make that album...and Lars said...he came to us and said he had listened to us but we were missing something and we were like uh...excuse me...who the **** are you?!?....somethin like that....so I think he was involved with the Black Album...but well after that it does seem like they declined a little but then once it got to St. Anger...it was off the charts....I like every song on St. Anger...but alot of people dont...it also sounds better on the rehearsals DVD....like in Some Kinda Of Monster....on the album...it sounded like James got his part a little too perfect (sounded like it was wah or somethin....) but well...then it sounded a hell of a lot better on the rehearsals DVD....live feel or something to it |
I think that people should stop using Bob Rock as a scapegoat. You know, theres four guys in Metallica and one Bob Rock, and Bob Rock works for them...
And rap is great.
as i said before, let Metallica bring back Fleming Rasmussen (if he is still alive and well) for the next album. And then and only then will we truly know that Bob Rock killed Metallica |
Metallica ****in sux u ****en head bangers they go and sue some kid for millions of bucks when they dont need the money or anything.. and they tried to copyright the E chord... how ****en retarded can u get... ****!
|
^^^
Sad that a Rush fan doesn't have an open minded attitude to appreciate other music. I'd love to see what would happen if Flemming came back. |
no i like other music and i like some mettalica stuff.. i just hate their ****in gut thats all
|
How can you hate somebody or judge somebody you don't know?
|
just cuz of the stupid **** that theyve done as i wrote above... genious
|
I don't understand...first you said "Metallica sux" then you say you like them.
|
Personally i didnt like St Anger, what do you guys think will happen with the next Metallica album. Better(like the good ol Metallica) or the same(nu-Metal :upset: )

The sh1t is wrong with you dude. |
ive found that a lot of my fav metallica songs are the ones that almost nobody talks about. like invisible kid, shortest straw, holier than thou, leper messiah, and the small hours (just to name a few). i may be wrong about the whole people not talking about them thing, but i just never see it.
|
i personally love the song Bleeding Me, its my favourite song of theirs.
|
i think alot of people think lars sux cuz he has no technique at all....... however he is the best drummer iv'e heard in metal....... he might not have traditional technique but he's good in the "hit every drum u can and make it sound good" style
well yeah...i agree :thumb: his drumming often displays power! & how could you guys compare a heavy metal drummer to a death or thrash metal drummer? its a different thing |
^^^^
What the hell does that mean? The best drummer in metal...? Come on...even most hardcore Metallica fans know that Lars folds as a drummer. |

Yeah man, I hear you! While I do like the more popular Metallica songs (Master of Puppets, Sanitarium, Ride The Lightning, Fade To Black, For Whom The Bell Tolls etc). I do also like their lesser know, or talked about stuff (I think Escape is a great song, in fact pretty much all of Ride The Lightning, and Master of Puppets), they knew how to produce an effective album, the perfect place for each song on both those albums. Battery is such a well placed song, and the guitaring in that song is brutal, if you've ever seen it Live, you'll know how heavy it would be for James on guitar, yet they do it so well (Not saying it's not heavy for Kirk, and hell Newstead had to fill some pretty **** heavy boots, I think he did well). |
Why does everyone bash on lars? And please give me a better reason than "Cuz he sux" or "Did you hear st. anger?"
I note no one has come up with a responce |
The fact that he does indeed suck compared to next to all metal drummers.
The reason no one has answered is because this place is dead and Lars' drumming has been discussed to death. |
