It wasn't the drumkit I was talking about, it's the enormous figure looming above it.

And Paul - Any time, any place!

Wintermute 09-13-2004 03:54 PM

But since you mention the size of the set:

Wintermute 09-13-2004 03:56 PM

*Takes up Epee*

(I haven't taken part in any tournaments recently, but I was in the top ten in the NW a year or two back)

PaulSimonon 09-13-2004 03:57 PM

Me: "En gaurde!"
I stand up and Wintermute promptly decapitates me.
My Severed head: "Touche!"

Left Shoe 09-13-2004 03:58 PM

i love danny careys style when it comes to drums , its just so.....perfect for tool

Wintermute 09-13-2004 03:58 PM

Decapitation is so passe.

My speciality is impaling your wrist as you try to attack me.

Kwash2 09-13-2004 03:59 PM

Actually terry bozzio has the worlds largest drum set, its tuned harmonically, so he can play actual notes. I also believe he has either 6 or 8 pedals, and I know that 4-6 of them aren't standard kick pedals, they will like hit a hi hat and a kicker at the same time. I'll try and find a link to some videos of his.

Kwash2 09-13-2004 04:05 PM

here, go to this site, click on the link in the middle of the page that says
ANOTHER VIC FIRTH EXCLUSIVE! click here to watch our backstage videos of terry in action!

Unbelievable.

Also, I started laughing uncontrollably in a chinese resteraunt today because some guy had the same cell phone ring that starts off Trigger Happy TV.

Carter plays with dave mathews band, and he recorded with wooten on his solo CD.

Also,Terry Bozzio still has the largest set.

Wintermute 09-13-2004 04:05 PM

"Tell you what, we'll call it a draw"

Classic.

e p 09-13-2004 04:07 PM

Just because Dave Matthews doesnt use Carter well doesn't mean he's not good. He's insane live.

Wintermute 09-13-2004 04:13 PM

*looks around innocently, and whistles*

PaulSimonon 09-13-2004 04:13 PM

nice touch! that's never happened before! :thumb:

Left Shoe 09-13-2004 04:13 PM

he might be good , but i really do not like DMB
he might be good , but i really do not like DMB
That's understandable, but you have to understand when I say that him and Stefan Lessard (and amazing rhythym section) aren't implemented to the best of their ability. only live can you really see them in action.
